I've known it for years that something's wrong with the governments around the world, something does not seem right ... So whether it be a secret organisation or something else, there have always been elite scum controlling everything in the human world.

Power and greed, personal profits and total control seems appealing to those rich bastards.

I disagree with some of you. I do believe facial recognition is very good. I believe computers do a lot of work and people are not needed to go over everything. Words written on our computers on threads, emails, blogs etc are screened for key words. If key words are found they are gone over and decided if you need more attention or not. Same thing for cell phones. They can listen in anywhere your cell phone is set down at, the only way to stop that is to take out the battery. Our technology is way better than some have said on here.

As far as the NWO, I think it is gonna take more time.

In theory, yes. It's the sheer volume of information that makes total surveillance impractical. Now don't get me wrong, that won't always be the case, and if things keep going the way they are, there will likely come a time where, to flip things on their head, people not using the internet will be viewed with suspicion. But we're not there yet. People still hack the Pentagon you know. You only hear about the ones they catch.

I could easily post an encrypted block here with a message in that nobody in this world would be able to read until I gave them the key. And I'm no expert. It's not rocket science.

Like I say, people with something to hide can hide it. It's the people who think they don't who allow themselves to feel watched and be frightened into compliance.

I seen on TV that wherever the president of the US goes they listen in to all mobile phones within a 3 mile radius for key words that maybe a planned assasination or terrorist attack.

As many as phones, right? In a room. Come on.

I'm not saying you have nothing to fear at all from surveillance, but use your noggin, most of this stuff is rubbish designed to keep you quiet. If nothing else, telling a population you're listening costs a fraction of what it would cost to actually do it, and the net result is near enough the same. With the 3 mile radius thing it's not meant to be people that listen in, it's meant to be machines that look out for key words not full conversations. I don't believe it either.

And the mobile phone thing where they can listen in to phones without a call being made could be true but they would not listen in to anyones phone like you and me(unless your a super criminal) it would just be super criminals like they said the mafia.

I think this is a good example, a 13 year old kid gets visitied by the SS after OBL was killed for something he wrote on his Facebook page. If the government watches childrens FB page writings, you can be damn sure they watch adults!!

Fox news has countless people listening to every word they say, every line the have scrolling down at the bottom looking for any incorrect thing. They are the most investigated news channel. They HAVE to BE SURE they have it right.

I don't trust Fox News. Murdoch is a nasty piece of work. Pay attention to the language they use. It's very easy for a person or organisation for whom communication is their business to suggest things without necessarily declaring them as fact. Omission of critical information and bias can be immensely powerful without necessarily being an outright lie. And they can always brush off BS as opinion.

Don't forget, scandal sells papers and advertising space.

I dont think Fox news are alone in this by any means. The news media in general is constantly under investigation, and they do lie. As it happens there's a mobile phone tapping scandal going on in the UK right now, where many people are being fined and losing their jobs in the media for snooping on celebrities (probably among others). That's about listening in on calls though, not remotely activating the microphone and transmitter.

According to the article, which seems significantly better researched and presented, the technique of activiating the microphone and the transmitter whilst not on a call requires third party software installed on the device. This I can believe, no problem. It's a wholly different proposition from saying the FBI can simply listen to your phone's microphone. See "omission of critical information" above. Of course this would also appear on the phone user's bill, presumably as data charges.

I said it up before and I'll say it again. Don't trust the media, and if you must watch the news, please read or watch a number of reports on the same story from different sources and research things that are opinion-forming. Otherwise you get things happening like we had here a few years ago where paediatricians were targeted by angry hate mobs, getting their windows smashed, threatened, and if I recall correctly, beaten up too.

I agree. I don't trust them an inch. But equally I wouldn't overestimate them either. You have to look at how likely these scare stories really are. There's nothing like silence for creating misinformation to fill the gap.

Yep. Totally agree, be vigilant about what you put on the internet.

But note also how United States intelligence agencies need this work done for them. They don't have quite the space age technology to watch over everyone that they'd like you to think. Threats and fear, that's how they work, not technical superiority or omnipresent surveillance. As I said up there, it's the people who think they have nothing to hide who freely give up their details who need to prick up their ears and realise how the benign details of their lives that they so freely offer up can be used against them to instil compliance. The people with something to hide are hiding it, so this sort of surveillance has nothing to do with security, only control. Control by fear. You aren't important to them, but hell if they can use little things against you like this and make you toe the line like a good little worker bee and not cause any trouble, then that's just perfect for them. An oppressed society is a complicit society.
