What size should I realistically be aiming for?

An inch in length will typically take you 6 months at least to gain. If you gain an inch in 6 months to a year, you would be considered a quick gainer :)

Thanks- I know it's a difficult question, but do you know how long it'll take to happen? I am hopefully going to university next year.

Presumably the weight loss will help. Will flaccid size also increase? That's what i'm worried about the most.

Your penis is average size, but if you are overweight, have wide hips, large fat pad, etc... it will be perceived as smaller than it is, especially at your height. Your penis length will not change by losing your fat pad, but it will look larger to both you and your partners. This is why most pornstars are short, lean, and have very little fat pad. I would focus on getting into shape first, and maybe do a bit of PE on the side.

Good luck.

I finally took the liberty of weighing myself, and it seems that I am 35kg overweight, with significant pockets of fat located in my stomach and groin (~2 inches) If I lose that, could I expect to see a significant visual increase in length.
