Tell us why your Endo won't give you anything. How old are you? Activity level?

On a side note, A LOT of people will say brand matters but in truth most of them come from the same place. I don't know where, but the distributers would like you to think that they manufacture the vitamin, and they don't. They just put labels on them, even then, most don't, it gets slapped on in china, brazil, germany, wherever they come from. Look for a quality control sticker, or one that mentions quality control. They probably come from the same place, and your best bet lies in that product (lab checked for quality, potency, yadda).

I use the spring valley brand from wal-mart. I'm curious about the reponses the vets will give you about the difference in brands.

Here is a link: ConsumerLab.com - independent tests of herbal, vitamin, and mineral supplements

Supposedly forr 29.95 a year they will give you access to their tests of brands of supplements, this is supposed to include efficacy and content. Personally have no connection with the site and am too cheap to spend the money. However, you have no guarantees with supplements, they may or may not contain what they say they contain, and the bio-availability may be in question. So since you can spend more on supplements per month than on food, you might want to be sure you are getting what the label says.
