The user reputation points system has been updated to be more consistent. More updates coming soon!

Cool. I jumped from 10 to 33. I'd still like to know what the green boxes mean. You have 43 rep points with 2 boxes, I have 33 rep points with 5 boxes.

Currently how the reputation system works is, you gain rep power for making post and being a member for X amount of days (we currently have this set to 150 days). Reputation power is the number you see in the user info area. Reputation points are the little green boxes you see next to the reputation power. You can only earn points by other users giving it to you for your post. Your current rep points are viewable in your UserCP. If you give someone points you approve or disapprove someones post you add or remove the amount of your current reputation power. We are in the process of exploring options to make this a simpler system.

Vbulletin, the forum software, makes it extremely confusing. You actually have 450 "rep points" (the most on the forum, although you can currently only see this in the backend for some reason), and 33 "rep power" (which is how many points you can give when you approve their post). We'll be taking out the "rep power" number with the next update and sticking with the points, which is much easier for simple-minded folk like myself.

Don't struggle for your Rep Power. It will come.
Your reputation grows as others gives you credit(rep) for your experience, words, advices that you give.

As Rock said: your rep power doesn't move if you approve/disapprove other people's posts. . . That said, the larger your "rep power," the more reputation you are able to give others. For example, JonPop, at this moment every time you approve someone's post, you give them 48 rep points.

I tried phone sex once, but it hurt, so unless they get some smaller phones I'm not doing it.

Acutally, I've noticed a relationship to number of posts that is directly proportionate to Rep points shown, whereas rep points actually received are banked until the number of posts catches up. In which case, my rep points earned far exceed the number of posts required to display them all at this time. To put it simply, I just need to post more.
