There was a frequent poster either here or on Thunders a few years ago who claimed he was over 9", and had pictures, you could clearly see he was around 7" and measuring incorrectly, I think a lot of guys like either to themselves, others, or both.

It is the combination of length and girth, not length alone that makes the rarity of overall size. Although 8 inches is quite long I remember reading a urologist's observations from his years of practice. He said a penis may be long or thick but being both long and thick is not common.

I think I would agree that combo of 8 x 6 is rare. It's only after clamping I get to 6, more like little over 5.5 generally. When it's beyond 6 in girth it looks bigger to me!

I learned awhile ago to just assume that all men are either misinformed or lie about their size. As for myself, to answer the original question, best I have ever seen/measured is 7.8" BPEL, but since stopping PE a while back (now starting again), I've been closer to around 7.5" most days.
