I never realised this thread existed until just now, despite having been a member here for a few weeks and acknowledging my own issues with porn.
I wouldn't say I was ever addicted necessarily, although I have identified what it is in porn that 'works' for me (in short, the fact that the girl is acting/'making an effort' for 'me'. I've been attempting not masturbating to porn (better known in the community as NoFap), since 02 March this year, and during that time I had a partial relapse (masturbating to ejaculation, but not to porn) on April 30.
Yes, I've gone that long without an orgasm - and, no, it doesn't send you crazy and your balls won't explode.
I'll be honest that some day aren't great, and that I am moody SOB (like I was when I first joined this community), but that's not because of NoFap - that's just because I'm human. While I haven't had some great moment of clarity and insight during my period of abstinence, I would say I'm an aberration in the statistics. Almost every man I know of experiences great improvement in their life from not whacking off to pixels, and I'm nothing but encouraging of anyone doing it.
My own 'count' is something like 130 days, and it's funny how my brain seems a lot less concerned by not whacking off.
Sigh, Mkay i start another one. I really want to stop with this addiction.
I can do this, i just need to keep my mind bizzy with other things.
No porn day: 1
Me, too, my man. I did go one month without porn, but for some reason I ended up edging to it and--yeah, you guessed it, the beans were spilled. I made a couple more attempts after that, reaching one to two week marks, but just couldn't keep it going. Things went pop!Made a commitment a while ago to stop watching porn and have broken numerous times since. I just need to work on my self-control and find something to do when I feel the urge to go watch it.

Currently seventeen days without porn. I'm happy with that.
It's funny, but I'm really excited to break free from the corroded claws of porn. I can't wait to feel clean and fresh, as if giving it up will literally wash away the horrible feelings porn has left me with. Every time I finished to it, I always felt gross and guilty, so unsatisfied and disappointed with myself that I watched it again.
The tragic thing was, I stopped enjoying watching porn a long time ago, and yet most nights I'd use it to "help" me sleep. What's even more tragic than that is that I found about ninety-eight per cent of the girls meh. The "hot" porn stars didn't do it for me because I was incredibly picky. Jaysus, what a hassle it was finding a girl to watch, and when I did, I either got bored of her after a couple of videos, or found her to be too beautiful for porn and, consequently, couldn't get aroused.
Porn, for me, isn't worth it at all. It's going to be amazing to finally beat this habit one day soon.
