I've jerked off to a LOT of porn in my life and there's no question that I've become conditioned to it. I've never had sex and have the opportunity three times but couldn't get it up on each occasion and I'm only in my early twenties. It feels incredibly horrible.

So I'm planning on quitting porn now and hoping it will actually fix me. Actually a strange thing has happened to me recently - my libido seems to have died for a guy who was jerking off at LEAST three times a day. It feels like since I've stopped watching porn, my dick has completely laid down or something. Is this some kind of "withdrawal effect"?

Has anybody here successfully quit porn and seen a legitimate change in his EQ? How long did it take? Thank you.

Sucks man....Never really had that problem when I was your age, we had porn but it was not as prolific as it is now. Back then (early/mid 90's) the internet was just starting up, and non of my friends were surfing for porn.

I think your problem with getting it up was not an overload of porn though, I think it was your nerves. I've been having some sort of physical female stimulation since around 13/14 years old and every now and again would find that a first time having sex with a new girl my nerves would be a little higher, and would affect my eq.

Nerves have a HUGE effect on EQ. I would think its that with the girl. I think the lack of libido otherwise IS due to a lack of porn.

Let's face it. If you do some research on the subject, you will find that porn addiction is one of the hardest addiction to get rid off. So do not take this lightly.

It is very hard indeed especially when you are not in a relationship. I've tried to quit porn for at least 100 times before but I failed EVERY SINGLE time. The longest I can go without porn is about a month. However it changed later on when I take this problem VERY SERIOUSLY. There are tons of good website that are very helpful about fighting porns. Join such a forum and talk to each other is a great way to start.

My gf likes to watch porn with me too which makes it even harder to quit. However, I believe I am not addicted to porn anymore because I don't have the urge to watch it and masturbate anymore. I still watch it when my gf is not with me. Anyway, I think the key for quitting porn is that DO NO LET MINOR SETBACK to stop you. It happens to everyone, slip once or twice after a long sober period is not failing. Don't think "oh! all my effort are wasted because I watch it again!". I don't want to go into the details of those things because you can easily find them on the internet.

Porn definitely had a negative impact on my EQ. After watching so much of those "hardcore" stuff, normal girls don't turn me on as much. If I stay away from porn for even a month, I get turned on so easily by almost ANY GIRL that is moderately attractive.

Your libido will come back in few days, this because masturbating "at LEAST three times a day" watching porn reconditioned your physiological response to visual stimuli and sex related stimuli. Hormones release may have been conditioned too.
It's a scientific fact that visual stimuli gives erections.

Stay away from porn for a period, and at the same look at the "real" females trying to spot details of their dressed bodies.
This will change you physiological response, because now, after watching porn for years, you need a very high level of "nudity" and "hardcore".

Once your physiology will be "recalibrated" to be "turned on" by non-porn images and real life situations your EQ will be ok too.

I grew up in the 90's as well, porn wasn't a major issue by any standards. After I got out of the Army I did watch porn on the interenet sites off and on for a few months but I never had an issue with it. I probably went back to it here and there for a short while but honestly I haven't watched porn more than once or twice in over 5 years.

This isn't to say that I don't dream of pussy, I do ever hour of every day. It's just that I don't see porn as anything special. You're just gonna beat off and feel stupid.

I remember one time my cousin came over to my house and we were doing some "substances" that kept us awake for a long time. I sat on my bed and practiced guitar and I swear to god the dude watched porn for 24 HOURS STRAIGHT!.

Hahaha it was so funny I didn't think that was even possible.

Dude honestly I don't understand why you're so keen to stop with your porn "addiction." You're fine, you have a girlfriend and have plenty of sex. I, on the other hand, am trying to find a remedy to my erectile dysfunction! We're on very different planes here my friend. Why torture yourself over something that's clearly not affecting you in any way? You're clearly not addicted to porn and are perfectly healthy.

Did you have the girl give you a blowjob or talk dirty to you or anything?
Of course I don't know how it went down :)D) but I know that anyone can be turned on, it just takes different things for different people. What you need to do next time is, when you're with your girl, don't give up until you've gotten a hard on.

Have her help you out. You can actually use porn for some ideas. Fantasy and roleplay are great. Have her give you a nice, wet, slobbery blowjob like the ones pornstars do. It's all about knowing what turns you on (and having healthy bloodflow.)

You also could be anxious about having sex for the first time. The stress from this problem may also have contributed to your loss in libido. Too much stress is bad for healthy sexual function.

Be honest with your woman and she will help you out brother.

Bye!

I believe I am totally fine too now, but it was pretty bad for me before (when I indulge myself excessively with porn)
I decided to take fight porn addiction seriously for few reasons:

1. I was pretty addicted to porn. When I was constantly watching porn, my EQ suffers when I am with my gf. She doesn't turn me on as much. Sometimes I had to fantasize about those porn actions to make myself harder when having sex with my gf and I didn't like that.

2. I believe porn distorted my view on women, I was starting to objectify women. I also got this fetish for tights/stocking from porn. I don't want porn to affect my personality in a negative way. (Everyone's different, but for me porn had those negative effects). I felt like i was degrading as a person.

3. Most of my porn were downloaded from the internet and I would spend a lot of time browsing and downloading them every day. Sometimes it consumed me more than 3 hours of time that I could of used to do productive work.

4. I was only interested in those Hi-def porns and they take ALOT of harddrive space. At one time, I had nearly 1TB of porn on my harddrive!! lol

You are getting a lot of good advice. Learn from others and cut out the porn. If your body wants to take a break from masturbating for a while while to adjust, that's fine.
You are young and healthy. Both your libido and your EQ will come back.
In the meantime, make sure that you are doing kegels regularly to build muscle tone.
