I tried searching for a Thread talking about the migration from PEgym to thebiohacker. What's the reason for the move?
For some reason, I have a hard time finding threads with this search feature on this website.
I've also noticed the activity on thebiohacker is a little less (from observation) than it was on PEGym.
Anyways, all good regardless was just curious!
I like Big Al's response above better than mine

, but here's a little review of the past year anyway:
November 12, 2021 official public announcement of coming change to TheBiohacker:
First, we want to thank everyone who has been with us the past couple months. We upgraded the forum and continue to work on improvements, but we wouldn’t have made it this far without your support. Our users are the backbone of PEGym and we are excited to tell you all about what’s coming next...

December 4, 2021 official roll-out of new domain name and logo:
We are back in operation, with working re-directs and all that techno-geek babble terms and stuff ! Thank you kindly, to our developers ! I myself am re-editing shortcuts, favorites etc, from PEGYM to THEBIOHACKER, so I can feel like I did something meaningful on my computers, tablets, phone...

Here's what the site looked like in January just after the name change; external link to Internet Archive:
vBulletin Forums

TheBiohacker was a prototype standalone site for something like 2 years before it absorbed PE Gym. You can find that in the Internet Archive too.
April 5, 2022 was the day that the site switched the forums over from vBulletin to Xenforo. That same day they also launched a completely new site design with a new logo and new colors and everything.
My limited understanding is that the main reason for the name change has to do with the impact the Google algorithm has had on search rankings for YMYL sites like this. The name change was a strategy for reframing PE within a subject that would rank higher in Internet search results because biohacking was a rising mainstream subject whereas anything to do with male enhancement and penis enlargement is usually ranked lower by the algorithm.
Long before the switch to TheBiohacker, PE Gym was showing clear signs of decline, but I do believe since the big shift in April 2022 there's been a further decline. I'm not looking at real numbers. It's just a subjective sense that traffic has been lighter.
Aside from the algorithm factor, Internet forums in general are a less popular medium for building communities. Social media sites and mobile devices have taken over. Reddit use is probably also a contributing factor.
PE forum communities have been trucking along for more than 2 decades now. It's also possible that the topic reached a cultural saturation point long ago and so some of what we're seeing is a cultural verdict on self-administered PE. There have been other historical fluctuations in interest and marketability of PE information. This might just be one of them.
Here's some articles about the general decline of Internet message board communities:
I'm looking forward to the return to PE Gym Big Al is talking about. We'll see.
