I'm using the X4 w/ the silicone harness (noose). I've tried a bunch of methods, but it's the only method that works for me, which is fine. I've been using it just about every day for 3 to 4 hours for about 6 weeks. The first silicone harness stopped "gripping" where you pull it through the grooves on the back of that plastic piece. After about a month, it kept slipping more and more, and I would pop out. So I put that one away and am now using the 2nd harness, but the same thing is starting to happen again (this time sooner). I guess it's the constant stretching (every time I put myself in, adjust it tighter, etc) that is causing the stretching problem. They aren't breaking or cracking - I think they're just stretching and "thinning out" just a little bit, and then they won't hold where you connect it in the underside of the plastic head piece.
I see that you can buy 4 extra harnesses for $40. That's a pretty steep price after what I already paid for this baby.
Is there any way, maybe using heat(?), to restore them so that they'll work again? Or, is anyone using alternatives to these specific straps that are cheaper to buy?
Thanks.
