Dear Control,
If there is any way to accelerate the moving to a new host, please do. The site response has deteriorated to 'poor'.

Also, if there's any way you can post/site announcement, when this will occur, then perhaps we the users, can just go doing something else instead of 'clogging' the site with our 'requests', 'posts', etc.

The slowness is making the browsing on this site such a miserable experience.

I can remember before this upgrade last year this site had so many fun features. We had a fun table feature were you could see which 10 members had made the most posts that day, which 10 members had made the most posts that week, which 10 members had made the most posts that month. That certainly encouraged me to make more posts to see if i could make it onto the table. But then that disappeared when the upgrade happened. Then before the upgrade i used to love looking at the bottom of a thread and seeing who was looking at that particular thread but when we upgraded that feature got disabled. Even these days the once moving smileys now no longer move.

Hopefully when we move to a new host every fun thing won't have to keep being disabled.

Very slow for me as well. I am no tech guy but it seems that you could use a better server and/or html/database caching software.

Those were some of my favorite features as well schlittle, I liked the post counter. Seems to be a bit faster though now than it was a few hours ago.

We can look at bringing stats back along with moving smileys. As for the seeing who is reading each thread our forum is getting so large that the list was getting out of control. This is why it was disabled. It was always such a long list.

As for the speed we will be upgrade host and database format soon. These are both in the testing phase and should be rolled out in a week or two.

This is very true. Last year, the site was smooth and totally functional. then it broke and it's been fucked up ever since.
