Hi Harrison,
I too received my X-40 yesterday. I am impressed with its design. Love the comfort sleeve. This one fits so much better than the Hercules. I will be putting it to the test over the next next few days and will be updating this thread after I do.

I also want to join BigO and thank you for being here and helping out our wonderful members. You're the best!

Lookingformore,

The mods at PEGym have been tremendously welcoming and helpful. I see so many posts where people ask Bathmate questions in different threads and the mods have been awesome about referring those people back to this thread. It's highly appreciated. Can't wait to hear about your X40 experience.

Best regards,
Harrison

Hey Harrison,

First of all my Bathmate is out of warranty.

I was using it last week and the plastic is now completely removed from the rubber pumping base. I attached a hose clamp to it to secure it but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick.

Is there any suggestions on how to get them to stay together again?

Thanks

I would think it is held on by some type of adheisive. I'd find out what type that is, then take a trip to home depot.

MrStinky,

I'm not an expert on the construction side, but I would think some gorilla glue might serve as a quality adhesive to try repairs with. Give that a shot.

To Harrison or anyone else who can help:

I just got my Bathmate x40 in the mail today and went to the shower to try it out. I feel like I need to work the bellows pump for a bit by itself, as it seems awfully tough to push down on, and causes some discomfort on the pelvic area around the base of my penis.

also, the only gauge on it is size, so what do people newer to the pump do? other than by feel, i have no idea if i'm over-pumping or not. i want to make an effort to develop a regimented routine to pump to, so i guess i just thought that the bathmate would have a little bit more objective measuring system, instead of how big you pump up to.

has anyone had similar thoughts? how do people tend to proceed initially? also, no prior pumping experience of any kind (which you can probably tell)

Thanks in advance!

So you have the original bath mates.... then the hydro max's.... and then the extremes. What are the extremes and how do they differ from the other models?
I would hope there is a reasonable difference considering the price difference

Chlorinerush,

Did you warm up before trying it? Definitely warm up and then go easy and slow with your first sessions. Loosen the pump up before you go more forceful. If it hurts, stop and reevaluate. As you said, loosening up will be needed.

As for the determining the right pump level, you're correct, much of it is by feel (even with a gauge any level can be right for one person, wrong for the next). So try low pressure and if that feels ok, try more next time. Keep going but if you hit a spot where it's painful, stop and back up. By feel and observation you'll figure out the perfect level for yourself. Regular process should be made in time and in pumping intensity. The gauge on the side of the pump can be used for that. Try and improve on the last measure you hit by a little bit every few sessions. Here's a good pump routine for newcomers

Hope that helps!

Can the bathmate be used in a chlorine hot tub?

Though I don't think chlorine would hurt the pump, applying such high heat over time may cause some warp, so I wouldn't recommend making hot tub use a regular practice.

bloodthorne262,

The Xtremes for the X30 and X40 come with all the extra gear you may want for your Bathmate - hand pump, carrying case, cleaning kit, lube, shower strap, etc. It's a lot of gear, hence the price difference. If the pump is all you need, forego the Xtreme. But if you want all the accessories, they're a good choice. Here's the full list:

Xtreme Hydropump Carry Case
Measuring Gauge
Cleaning Sponge
Handball Pump
Comfort Insert Pad
Hose Attachment Pump
Lube
Security Lock
Shower Strap

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Harrison

Not sure if this is asked, but why does the Bathmate Hercules cause discoloration everywhere except at the first inch on the base? What should I do to prevent discoloring? Use less?

EnUsko,

There can be a number of reasons for discoloration so it's difficult to say without more information. But for any worrisome sign, I suggest that you stop pumping until color has returned to normal and then follow a basic workout routine.

Recommended Exercise Regime

• Ensure your pubic area is reasonably well trimmed which will facilitate the vacuum seal against the pelvic seat.

• A relaxation period of approximately 3/5 minutes in a warm shower or bath is required to allow the testicles to soften allowing them to be away from the sealing area for effective pain free use.

• Always ensure the comfort insert is used and correctly aligned as this will reduce the compression to the testicle region and give you all round support.

• Avoid excessively vigorous pumping, this will not give you faster gains in size or girth but may cause discomfort and speckling spots or bruising. Simply take your time to relax and enjoy your Bathmate experience.

• To benefit the most in size gains, erection hardness and optimal blood flow, it is best to remove the device every few minutes allowing the penis to retract. Massage the penis in the flaccid state, then re-apply the device and repeat the process.

• You should do this a maximum of 3 times in any 15 to 20 minute session; this will undoubtedly give you the best all-round results in comfort, vascular expansion and size gains.

• Do not use the pump for more than 15 to 20 minutes in any period of 24 hours.

Follow a basic routine and stop if you see discoloration or experience pain - there may be an issue in your routine if those things are happening.

Hope that helps!

Cheers,
Harrison

I stopped using BM 2 months ago after noticing discoloring^

Used it carefully with warm ups/down. Doubt there was nothing wrong with my style (My BM log). The "firegoat" roll didnt help much, luckily my discoloring is very light and hard to notice. Atleast the BM worked for me :p bpl has increased from 17.5 -> 19.5 cm~. Gonna start soon again with it, to see if it was just that my dick was new to PE. Or maybe using low vacuum has something to do with discoloration everywhere except at the base of shaft? Because when I use low vacuum, only the lowest gaiters are squeezed in, could it possible make different suction?

After googling, I've noticed some people have the same issue.

sammydubs, a hand pump is an easier and faster way to create greater pressure. Some people find it easier to use a hand pump, so it's a good option if you fall into that category.

Hope that helps.

I'm looking into getting a Bathmate here pretty soon. I think the Hercules or X30 would be good for my size, but I want to get and give some more information first.

I wont be fully adding this to my routine right now. Its more for fun, and future use. People claim to get a pretty good pump after using the device that lasts for a little while, so I thought it might be fun to use before sex with my Wife every once in a while.

The X30 is said to have more suction than the Hercules. Since I'm new to pumping, would it be better or safer to start with the Hercules instead since it has less suction power?

What do you guys think? I'd be happy for answers from Harrison, or anyone else that wants to comment or has any thoughts about this.

Thanks guys.
