The AC-130 is an AWESOME aircraft!
Always love the broadside shot from a battleship. One of my dreams is to be on board ship when they do that.

My third jump in jump school. A reserve pilot from Fayetville trying to get his hours in, was flying the C-130.
He was supposed to feather the inboard turbo props so the blast wouldn't be so strong, he didn't.
Knocked guys end over end. Took my helmet right off my head, even with the chin strap.
My suspension lines were so twisted, I couldn't even get my head back to look up to check my canopy.
Spun around back and forth all the way to the ground. There were a few injuries on that jump.

From what I heard, he was a Doctor (Reserve Air Force) from Fayetteville trying to keep his flight pay hours up.
The investigation concluded that he was coming in over Holland DZ, too slow, felt he was going into stall and had to thrust the inboard engines, just when we got the green light to jump.
