Hi, its been a while since I have been here. Hope you are all doing well, I am glad this forums back up. Every week day(monday threw Friday) I do origional pilates, then army stretches with army exercises doing the stretches before and after the army exercises called four the core right after eat breakfest in the morning. I get out of bed around 5:35 to 6:30 in the morning usually, then right after that, I eat breakfest. The four the core is strength training or calisthenics that exercises the mid body(mid upper legs, bottom back and stomach)After the 4 for the core, I jog around the apartment complex I live in for about 1 mile or less. The 4 for the core i do partly because I am trying to have my stomach look more normal, flat and keep it that way since I have a semi fat beer belly gut that I want to get rid of. I am already in my BMI range Wich is between 125 pounds to 159 pounds and have been in that range for a while now. I weighed myself today and currently I weigh 148 pounds. I have been doing this for 3 years or more now and I already eat 100% healthy everyday, specifically a version of the Mediterranean diet called red bean and barley recipe that I have been sticking with and its best for my brain so far with no honey mustard. I have modified the recipe to be a little healthier. I also have fish oil pills as well as zinc pills(for skin) in the morning with breakfast, green tea with launch, coffee adding some milk into it with breakfast and 2 bananas with dinner plus prune juice at 3pm.
I have decided to stick with being 150 pounds as the best weight to be at within my BMI range and maintain or keep it at that weight all though I am open to changing that. The other reasons for doing these exercises and jogging is for longevity or to increase my span or at least slow down the aging process.
On the internet I read that to avoid or not get diabetes, I need to get at least 30 minutes a day of exercise. I recorded how long it takes me to do my Pilates exercise, army exercises, stretches plus jogging and its 23 minutes Wich is not long enough so i decided to add more exercise to make it be a full 30 minutes. I also read on the net that doing resistance exercise and aerobic exercise also helps the prevent diabetes which I may consider to add to what I already do.
So, having said all this, what type of exercise would you suggest I add to my daily routine? What specific weight within my BMI range should I be at if its not 150 pounds? What Time or time of the day is best to do the exercises?
