Hi,

I injured myself from stretching 6 months ago. The symtoms came on 2 days afterwards - mainly long flaccid, hourglass on urinating, dribbling, erectile anomolies/curves on semi erect state, pain in flaccid, hard flaccid, very sensitive bc/ic muscle. This progressed to interior pf pain, sitting pain, hamstring pain. My symptoms were absolutely AWFUL! I had way worse than HF. The penis used to have a hinge on semi erect state. Ridges on the side. However I could still get erections and function to a degree albeit being so messed up. I have researched the sh*t out of this and tried DCT and resistance stretching - it is very good and definetely beneficial and could be answer for a lot of people. However, in the last week I have found out the fix to my problem. I have seen posts about strengthening the IC muscle. If you can get a normal erection then it is unlikely your ic is weak.

In the past week, I spent about 3 hours per day VERY VERY LIGHTLY circular massage on penis, bulbo muscle and isio. They were all sore to touch. Find sore parts and stay at a max 5/10 pain level and start low. After a minute or two, i feel a burn and heat generation. Then suddenly, the tissue actually changed under my finger and the pain is gone. I also had dizziness and my eyes started to well up as it was released. This happened everywhere on the penis, urethra, and bc/ic. Literally I could feel the tissue being released, like a give, I also felt intense burn on ym finger at times when releasing big spots of tension. You must be very gentle and cautios at first. The tissues for me were in shock i think. This may not help everyone but it has gotten me back to close to normal and the sensations afterwards were complete relief, increase of bloodflow.

I was told to do reverse kegels and belly breathing etc before I did this release work. However, I think if you have this tissue dysfunction similar to above, reverse kegels arent actually going to work in some cases. it is only now that I have released the area that I feel what a normal reverse kegel feels like. They will help a bit but in a lot of pf dysfunction cases the person cant do a proper reverse kegel due to their soft tissue issues. Resistance Stretching and DCT helped me and I could feel reverse kegels get a bit more expanded. But when I did the release work above I could feel my whole frontal region release again.

The takeaway is: The soft tissues in the IC, BC, and penis can be in shock or have trigger points. If you have similar symtoms, try this. I would recommend not using oil, dryer is easier to pinpoint parts of the tissues which need attention. Oil makes it too slippery.

How to do the massage: Find the areas that are sore. start of gently and use 1 finger to do a gentle circular motion. Remeber that this is a loving caring action towards your tissues and it is not supposed to be painful. You are teaching them that it is ok to relax again. As you become more used to this you can try some gentle holds on certain areas. Massage or hold for 90 seconds to 2 minutes and you should feel a reaction of sorts if you have a trigger point or area of tension, a heat reaction or tingling or a give. Sometimes it may not come that easily. The tissue may then twist or rearrange itself under your finger. The 3 massages I used were circular, up and down and gentle static pressing. IF YOU MASSAGE IN AN AGGRESSIVE MANNER, YOU WILL CAUSE A FLARE UP. GENTLE, LOVING, CARING TOUCH IS REQUIRED(DEPENDING ON HOW SENSITIVE THE TISSUES AND MUSCLES ARE) PARTICULARLY WHEN BEGINNING AS YOU LEARN IT. REMEMBER THAT THE TISSUES SURROUNDING THE PENIS ARE SOME OF THE MOST SENSITIVE IN YOUR BODY SO START OFF EXTREEEEEEMELY GENTLY IF SORE.

How to locate the muscles: The valley between your hamstring and youre penile tissue is where the isio is located. It goes from there the full way down through your perinuem and connects at the sitz bone. Your bulbo muscle is located behind the penis basically in the scrotal area where the urethra goes. You can massage each side of this gently. There is also a little hole above your penis by the pubic bone, where all the connections for the isio and bulbo muscles attach. This area above the penis and at the base of the penis can also be massaged gently and checked for sore points. Also massage perineum area and track the isio muscle the whole way back to the sitz bone.

Penile tissue itself: Apply same concepts to penile tissue. I also had the ridge that a lot report(actually had 3 or 4 of them on penile body). This is now almost gone in 5 days due to massage and release work.

Very nice. So external massage on those tender/trigger points definitely helps bloodflow, pain and soreness by relaxing the muscles. It is usually temporary but some can see higher levels of success.

Yes in my case it is actual tissue change which has occured or tissue release as it was my main issue. I am guessing I could have done this the week after my injury but didnt know. I suspect some cases will have similar pain points, but may have to search very carefully for them. A big thing is nearly talking to the tissue and telling it to relax and making sure you dont press too hard if it is already sore(if it is in shock you must be very gentle initially and then you will get used to it). You will know when you release a point as you will actually feel a physical change under your finger - i have already in about 30-40 points and my symtoms are nearly gone! And believe me I had seriously messed up symtoms

I went to PF physios and they all ignore the external muscles. If someone has done penile exercises and strained these and they dont recover, it doest make much sense to use a therawand and go on about the deeper pf muscles. The exernal superficial muscles and tissues are the ones most strained by PE, and are there to be worked with and can develop myofascial trigger points just like any other.

FYI the reason i spent so long was because there is actually so many points to cover when you explore the tissues, and basically all of mine were sore. I spent 2-3 minutes on each point

Yes, they do not do much work involving the genitals, but they will do both internal and external rectal massaging. Injuries to the genital region (really any PF muscle strain) needs to be very gently massaged as the muscles will remain cramped after the injury, sometimes it disappears on its own however.

Feel free to extrapolate on the massaging you did do and how to find those points if you can, I have added this thread to [h=2]MUST READ Resources - Pelvic Floor Issues, Hard Flaccid, Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome[/h]
This thread is a very nice addition. +rep for you ;)

Thanks Hans agreed, I have added some more above

Excellent, I bolded some of the more important parts for emphasis and ease of understanding.
