Hi Karl,
I have a Male Edge Pro bought in mid April, nice looking , reasonable price and lightweight plastics.I got 40hours use out of it and it broke.
Right in front of the base ring before the tension window indicator-it's a weak spot as it's so thin there.
Bought an expensive plastics glue but it broke again twice.
I do have to say they are nice people at Danalife,and are replacing the unit which I posted back (along with some spares which also broke.) They also helped previously when I called by phone to Denmark to get further info on fitting,adjusting tension levels and removal etc-as the booklet detail was not sufficient.
You might know they are related to Danamedic who make the original Jes extender. In fact,whilst waiting to sort out the ME problem I purchased via ebay a Pro-extender which is in fact a Jes extender but stripped down without extra spares and a fancy wooden box.I am quite impressed with this as its well made from heavier plastics and stainless steel.
It seems to keep tension levels better than the ME and after only a few hours I had worked out best way to fit and remove as its just less quirky than the ME.It only cost me 45euros on ebay compared to about 165euros for the original Jes.
With the ME I think its best to use the comfort strap with adhesive gauze around the glans.With the Jes(which has a silicon noose) I use the foam tube supplied.
I think you should buy the best you can afford,as cost of ownership will be lower in the long run-though I do really recommend the Pro extender,as you might get this via ebay for far less even than the ME in plastic.You could well find this quite fine and not have to stretch(excuse pun) so far financially for a X4.
