Thanks for merging the threads. It's been five and a half weeks now since the injury. I've noticed it improving gradually to where I am able to get sexual arousal from thoughts alone once again, but then today I got aroused for a few minutes and now it's as if it just started all over again. I'm drinking water, only strained a couple times for a few seconds during a B.M., and have been trying to avoid arousal as much as possible, although I did have problems succumbing to masturbation during the first few weeks, and finally cut that back out. Have only had a masturbation incident once in about ten days, and trying to reduce it even further. Am I doing something wrong? I may seem anxious about this, but it's such a medically ignorant area, and I don't want to go to the doctor, especially since they probably don't know much about it anyway. Just would like to know if this kind of delayed healing is a common occurrence. I suppose it probably is. To Big Al, to my knowledge I'm not having spasms, pain is almost none at all, except very rare prick of mild pain like every few days for a second. PE issues, I really don't know, because I've been avoiding masturbation for about ten days and am currently single. The few times that I did masturbate, it did seem especially weak, and a bit premature. But I generally avoid masturbation, so I don't document it especially. The biggest problem I have is that it seems PC muscle seems very easily fatigued and the sexual sensation in the groin fades away. The sensation in the actual penis unchanged, and I can still get an erection with enough incitement. Hope these details can help you understand this issue more. And thanks for your concern.
I was aware that I could injury myself before beginning the Kegel routine, and so I took it slow and careful. Somehow I still injured it, apparently because I was supposed to be doing wall-squats and all that jazz before I started doing Kegels. What I' concerned about now, is since I didn't properly rest this injury when it occurred, and actually masturbated multiple times in the following weeks (partly out of anxiety to see if it was still functioning properly), did I do something to excacerbate this injury to the point of some kind of a permanent injury? Or is a "permanent" injury to the PC a sort of myth? I see these horror stories by these guys on the forums and have to think they're trolls, but still it concerns me a little bit, since my recovery has been so slow and so delayed. I tore the ligaments and tendons and nerves in my arm the day before I injured my PC/BC, and apparently the severe injury to my arm has healed more rapidly than my groin. This is ridiculous. It seems like so many things offset the recovery time (constipation, arousal, mmasturbation, strain, etc.). Also, I'm now experiencing issues involving what feels like urine trapped in the urethra, which aparently according to the doctor responses to people with similar conditions on other websites, could indicate a urinary tract infection (although I tend to think there is some other explanation).
Mainly, I want to know if the delayed recovery is due to my lack of proper rest, and if this is a serious thing that could result in more complications, or if simply resting it more will be sure to recover it fully, and if this is typical for people to experience this delay in healing.
