I am reeling a little... I made it through...

Feb 22nd is the day she died, but yesterday was the day of the week, on the week of the month that she died.

I had a bit of a flashback that night. I miss her more than words can express... She was always so cheerful, even when she was mad. Her smile and laughter made you want to hug her all the time.

She was always a beautiful person with wisdom that she NEVER shared with you unless you went looking for it. She was incredibly smart but made herself accessible to many people.

I'll always remember her in her perfect imperfection. Three years now, and I miss her as much as the day she died. Cried a bit at work, but gathered myself quickly when my boss dropped a roll of plans I ordered on my desk, LMAO.

I won't take her picture down until they find the person who killed her.

Either way,

My raise came in! More money! Working very hard, doing the damn thing! I just started the third 26 chapter book of the series I started in the fiction area... Talking with a book lover friend of mine working on ramping up the flavor of it a little. She's really into books so her input is pretty invaluable. It's taking a really long time, but I love doing it.

I don't recommend he does that if his wife is Latina or Italian. :becky:
Whoa, been there. Latin women are passionate with sex AND revenge... I don't know about Italian women but I will take your word for it and heed your waning.

You can go ahead and add Romanian, Hungarian, Russsian, or German women to that list. Those women tend to stay angry for longer than anyone I've ever seen. Irish women too.

You know what, just to be safe I will include all women to this list. No woman wants to hear that you're regularly listening to another woman's problems and complimenting her at work, when you SHOULD be doing that at home more often.

Sorry go hard, bad advice on my part.

Thai women. Check out the rates of dudes getting their dicks cut off here.

They are all sweetness and smiles at the start. I call them 'the smiling assassins'. Of course, this is a gross generalisation but the media in Thailand runs almost 24 hr a day 'soapies' where women portray themselves as jealous and vengeful toward each other, hitting each other in the face at every turn and behaving like spoilt brats. Unfortunately, some traditional Asian values and stereotypes about gender and gender roles are deeply ingrained here.

If you are a man, it is expected that you do all of the heavy lifting with regard to work and bringing in the money. It is also pretty much expected that the more successful you are, the more likely other women are to try and 'steal' you and it is also expected that being weak fools, we will give into this and have mistresses on the side.

If you are a woman with a man, nag him just like on the soap operas, do all of the stuff at home, believe fully that he is cheating on you with other women (even when he isn't) and viciously attack any perceived attempts by other women to 'steal' your man. Try to mitigate the chances of your man seeing other women by virtually banning him from going out, having him tell you to piss off and let him do what he wants, throw hissy fits including threats of self-harm and generally make life at home unbearable so that in the end he DOES leave and find someone else...thus proving that he was a cheating dick all along using the most terrible logic ever.

...or so I've heard :p

I haven't seen any ugly female monkeys around. It's probably safe for you to come out of hiding today.

SOOOOOOOOOOoooooooo....

It happened!

Finally replaced my mom's Cadillac SRX that was totaled when a dude, without a license, drove his GF's honda accord, on the wrong side of the street and head-on'd my mom.

She really liked her Cadillac. It was probably the nicest car she'd allowed herself to own. She's been on disability for a while now, so owning another nice car was a far off dream.

Well, as of Thursday, the promise I made to her, 7 years ago, about buying her another car (a nice SUV) came true :)

She would not allow me to finance something for her (and I really didn't want to). in the mean time while I continued to save, I bought another Acura for her to get around in.

Anyway, having tested one 3 years ago or so, I became particularly fond of the Saab 97X.

Well, i took her for a test drive in one of them last week (it was pretty crappy) but she liked the space and the way it drove.

I went ahead and purchased a nice clean one, in her favorite color (on a car), fully loaded, with Navigation :D

I can't wait to see her face when I give her the keys :D

OH OH

As an aside, I also got a new computer.

I finally get to put the computer I got from my late friend into retirement. Not sure if I made a post about it, but the computer she essentially gave me was the first "Bento Box" style Lenovo/IBM computer I had ever really owned or used at great length.

I grew to love the operation of it and the backup style of it. It's an amazing computer, and I love the form factor of the old looking laptops.

I'm inlove with this new rig. It's a Lenovo T420. Got it on sale for $150 (Core i5, 8gb ram, 350gb HDD) I replaced the 350gb HDD a 500gb solid state drive. Thing is MONSTROUSLY fast. I thought it was pretty fast before, but now it's insane. takes no time to boot up.

The smaller lenovo that I put into retirement, I put a 1Terabyte HDD in it to replace the 150gb that it had before. So now it will be a storage computer and a retired laptop. I'm going to put it in the rest of the stuff that I got from her. My friends call it a "mini shrine" but whatever... That's the way I coped with her murder, LOL!

either way, I'm extremely pleased with my New Laptop!

Just venting
1). Bernie Sanders fucked up at last debate but lucky for him the rest of Fl doesn't give a sh*t about Cuba so he should be fine
2). Prescription drugs are great but they cause so many other ailments that can kill you. Slowly. Steroids wow will ruin your body but many people need it to survive certain illness. Freakin sad
3). Media causes lazy citizens
4). Hardest thing to watch someone make choices you already made years ago knowing how it will end but they won't or can't take the advice. How I know is I was given same advice and didn't listen
5). I'm getting old. My mind, which is very cool, is fading. It's hard to witness.
6). How do movie stars from 30 or more years ago still live in CA when they haven't worked in decades. Jane Wyman Reagans first wife lived a financially secure life. Interesting.
7). Did any men cry when Peyton Manning gave his retirement speech? Was tough to watch.
8). Belgium has so much history but now too dangerous to visit. All my bucket list places are being too high risk. I'm sad about that
9). Looks like the Donald will be our next president. Let's hope he really is calm cool and collected when afforded time to think. The guy live is a nut with no control.
10). I avoid people with annoying voices. It's their pitch that bothers me. If I don't like the sound of your voice or how your rhythm of speak is I don't do business with you. Other than words like bitch or snob what is the real word for that? I avoid it because I won't be able to be professional. I'll cut you off or not take calls and it's just rude. I know my limitations.
11). Why is this cycle of gym members so upset. We see new rounds of users all the time and we repeat our answers for them even though we've answered it a thousand times. Seems this round is really upset. Is it just the state of the world and not peen related?

Guess that's it. Thanks for the outlet. Hope y'all are doing well.
I miss Toadstool

To you men from the UK
What are your perceptions of American women?

I grew up hearing English men were not affectionate and were rough around the edges. I'm not finding that to be true.

Just wondered if we had a profile.

Welp, not all that surprising that Batman v. Superman is average. No matter what I could do with each new thing I saw I could never bring myself to be excited nor believe it would be terrible, I could only ever say it would be "meh", and it seems that I was quite right about it. (Note: I haven't seen it but going through many critics review that seems to be the general consensus.)

I have absolutely no desire to see it, although I have to say that from the trailers the only character in it that caught my attention at all was Lex Luthor.

From what I hear Jessy Eisenberg is the one person that didn't do well in his roll, seemed he did a slightly crazy OCD twitchy kind of Lex Luthor, which doesn't sound all quite right.

My son told me a little while ago that his tyre treads were getting low on his car, so every time I saw him I kept pestering him about it telling him that he'd be in sh*t street if he has an accident, or worse, knock someone over and that his insurance would be null and void.

I'm sure he must have some Spanish in him because he kept saying, "Manana, manana."

Lo and behold, some plonker reversed into him the other day rendering his car unroadworthy.

NOW HE'S WORRIED ABOUT HIS TYRES!
