Oh the gun went off all by itself? Got it.( but they don't go off all by themselves, especially that model)

I never saId it went off by itself. However, it is possible the trigger or hammer was inadvertently touched or it was defective (apparently the gun did fall apart when it was examined.) my point is that the shooting was most likely completely accidental. There are accounts of people accidently dropping loaded guns which end up killing someone and are not sent to prison.
The new indictment was based on tests done and that type of gun doesn't go off by itself. Let's not forget that he either aimed it or was so negligent he never looked where he was pointing it.From what I have read once a gun is placed into the hands of an actor his job is to check if it's loaded, whether he has been told it wasn't or not. Many people quit that production due to lack of safety precautions and Baldwin was one of the producers who are in charge of everything that goes on during filming.
