I could see those who stand to make money from the porn industry being keen on making those who are struggling with addiction feel powerless to change. A moping guy talking about how long it takes to "rewire" the brain and saying "I'm a loser that should just go back to porn" may arouse similar responses to those who are really trying to better themselves. An enabler, if you will.
