Having been born and raised on a dairy farm, and fed raw milk from an early age, have to agree with you. Never tasted pasteurized milk until I was 15 years old. Still drink a lot of milk, although these days it is skimmed milk. Have now and always have had incredibly hard bones.

About the only draw back to milk is drinking it prior to heavy duty exercise. You need to give the milk 1/2 hour to digest otherwise it may give you the back-door two step.

There is more than having intolarance to lactose. There is a diffrent story with the digestion.
Another story is if we are talking about 'natural' milk, from a cow, goat, etc that is eating, what it should normally eat. Grass. No chappy chaps, no steroids injections, no grains(almost no in 99% of the time). As long as the source is clean and natural it is ok, only thing that will matter is the quantity.
Is it said that fermented dairy producs is the healtiest things(again produce from natural milk...)

O and if you think that you can digest milk, more than 100 - 200ml you should make a test to see how much you digest it.
And about 'feeling good' it is a relative observation. The damage can not by seen in a few days, monts or even years. For example the most significant side effects of steroid abuse is after a few years and sometimes on old age. So seeing is not a good measurement i think.

In California we have strictor enviromental laws so no hormones are used as far as i know. Raw organic is best. I drink at least 3 large glasses of 1% everyday. It is lower is low glycemic and lower in sugar content than soy milk.

Have no idea what choppy chaps are. Our cows, late 40's early 50s were grained in the evening. Each cow got approximately 1 gallon of grain. This was a ground mixture prepared from our own wheat, cracked corn with about 60 lb of molasses to glue the whole thing together. Cows loved this and it was an easy way to get them into the barn in the evening, merely bang the feeding bucket and they came running. Ensilage was also part of their feed, in addition to cured hay. In case you aren't familiar with the latter at that time it was chopped corn store in a silo. The only preparation of the cow was TB testing once a year.

Sorry I think in ounces not milliliters. You should be able to digest 8 oz of milk at a time. If this amount or less causes you problems, gas, etc. you are lactose intolerant. Would question whether or not other chemicals fed to cows would get by the glands and into the finished product. Would have to see some hard evidence from reputable sources before I would be concerned about this item. There are too many have baked scares going around out there with no scientific proof, from Rachel Carson's delusions about DDT to Fat Albert the Bore and climate change the shamans of stupidity rant their nonsense.

I drink dairy, but rarely milk. I prefer to drink half and half or light/heavy cream. I love milkfat and animal fat. Always have since I was a kid.

Saturated fat has gotten a bad reputation from the big food manufacturing companies. It is wrongly acused.

Truth about saturated fat this is the classic writing about the subject.

This is a very complex topic and you wont get a definative answer. Its like asking "is global warming man-made?". You'll get compelling arguments both ways.

On a personal level, I drink milk, but not as much as I used to. Me and my old housemate used to drink shitloads when we were hard core weight training. I used to chug milk on the way to work, and throw the carton over my shoulder into the back seat of my holden commodore. I got pulled over by cops once for an unrelated matter, and they said "excuse me, but why do you have so many empty milk cartons in the back seat of your car?"
My response "Err, I drink a lot of milk???????" DICKHEAD what do your think??????????

Anyway I digress,

I know that Chinese Medicine says excessive dairy can contribute to the concept of "dampness". After all, why in nature are we drinking the "milk" of another species???

I started to get big signs of dampness, have cut down the milk and now the dampness is subsiding somewhat. I'm sure its like anything, food is medicine or poison, depending on the quantities you take.

dampness?

It is a pathogenic factor in Traditional Chinese Medicine. I have a predisposition to it, that and the the fact I tend to eat lots of foods that lend themselves to dampness.
Here is a very brief outline of the concept of dampness

I used to do this too. But I can't imagine it's good for you. I used to drink a half gallon of half&half a day when I was in high school. I think it was like 2300 calories in that sh*t alone. Great way to gain a lot of weight, but it will be fat unless you workout hard.

I think milk is good if it is mixed with grains like in cereal but drinking it straight i think is a no no. Because the organization of milk fats is not the same as natural after homogenized or whatever it is. People are labelled as lactose intolerant, I think they are just milk intolerant, because a lot of people can eat lactose, but just not in the way it is structured in pasteurized milk. I get thick mucus whenever i drink regular milk, but after drinking raw milk, no problems whatsoever.

I personally don't drink milk very often. Milk can definitely be very good for you, or very bad for you depending on your own personal physiology and how much you drink. I am mildly lactose intolerant, so unless I want to spend the day farting I can't drink too much milk anyways. I add a little milk on occasion to certain things, and occasionally eat cheese and other dairy items like yogurt. Some people can drink tons of milk with no ill effects, maybe even positive ones, while others get sick from a few drops.

Everbody has different physiology, so there is no correct answer to the question. It is best to experiment and simply find out what is best for you. I drank milk heavily while in my teens, and stopped for the most part around 20.

Whenever I drink milk, I keep getting this phlegm build up in the back of my throat. I prefer the almond milk seems to have a richer, fuller consistency than soy or rice.

Same here. I get uhm... "disagreements" when ingesting regular and soy milk. Almond milk has become my "cereal broth" of choice. I would love to try raw milk... but how does one get their hands on it short of going straight to the farm?
