I am just grinning ear to ear over this thread, because it literally runs right alongside my discussions on smooth muscle hypertrophy and the Bayliss Effect. I am still researching a bit more, but i believe that when smooth muscle becomes injured/fatigued due to micro tearing in either its diagonal muscular structure or perhaps its endomysium, it may cause a leak which allows extracellular calcium in, or perhaps the repeated bouts of stretching and high intensity leads to a large amount of calcium inside the cell which causes constriction, due to the fact that calcium activated the actin and myosin(thick and thin bands) causing contraction. If it were in fact the case, it would be of double benefit considering that when constricted, it would allow repair to occur, along with forcing the calcium out of the cell. either way. i will post everything. This rubber band effect i believe is an indicator for whether or not smooth muscle has healed after a bout of exercise. We shall see though guys!

Yes I remember this thread ,it has implications on length vs girth.

Yeh it makes a lot of sense, it is a principle I tried to adopt since I started PE, max out gains with the lowest possible tension before increasing it gradually over the space of months. It accounts for the fact that many people who start off wearing their extenders at the highest tension do not see length gains as well as those who use it at lower tensions with a gentler gradual creep.

Those individuals who used them at higher tensions happened to see larger base girth gains, as opposed to those using them at lower tensions who rarely see base girth gains. (Note, this is only from my observations of threads, opinions, complaints, etc that I have seen, and do not have any study to back it up unfortunately).

I would be interested if the same happened with people who started hanging earlier in their PE career, did they max out their length gains early on but still consistently saw girth gains. It would be interesting to get some more views on this, as I trawled through the PE science and theory forum and this thread was the first one that I came to and it was created/discussed at length years ago.

Hi guys, I did some PE about 10 years ago, and also noticed when using more tension the penis wants to "pull" back/retracts. So I think more relaxation in this area works better. I actually stopped back then, because the gains were so hard to achieve. Now I realize that it takes a -lot- more time to build it larger. I did however gained much in EQ and stamina, which was awesome. This time I want to really add length and girth and gain really much.... so is this 'slow pulling' but with 'longer time' really a better way to gain more length?I also think its a petty that no one actually confirmed better results by trying this over a longer period of time. Is it lack of trying out and going for a stronger pull, or does a stronger pull work better? (I started a week ago agian with PE, so I am curious for the beginner, as well as for the longer run).

maybe something for datawonk to search out what works best; gentle stretch or harder stretches for more BPEL gain?

im saying datawonk because I think he likes to collect data and put it out for everyone

interesting theory to say the least

I would say it's best to combine both and see your results, for me I did this today and I saw my flaccid length increase but with high intensity it also increased as well but it's more harder to do so I would say its good to combine both right?

Nothing is right i believe. It is a matter of what is the best intensity for your own unique penis. Some guys have luck and start out with the correct amount of intensity for their penis, some get stuck with no gains at all because of wrong intensity.

This theory makes sense, I get a really nice hang and effect when I do Jai stretch softly a few times a day. I just started a cycle, and I will do the soft/gentle stretch the entire time to see how it works.

Bump, amazing thread and I believe what's being said to be true. (from my own experience so far)

Light, gradual stretches > hard pull stretches
