well hopefully ill find the women of my dreams before i get to my 40's, i actually thought id found her a couple of weeks ago..now she wants nothing to do with me.....shame really because every aspect of our short relationship was 300% pure perfection.....

then she found out i had a criminal history and boom.....she hates me....even though she knows how good a person i am she judged me on my past..i hate when things like that happen...i changed my life a long time ago when i had my first child....

anyway not to worry..

Believe me, that's how my life WAS supposed to be.........40's, married, happy, kids...........the whole American dream............yeah, my life turned out to be anything BUT how I thought it would. Perhaps it's also that today would've been my 14 year wedding anniversary........little thing called divorce destroyed that.

Oh well, onward and upward I guess...............

its normally the case with me, i find someone i really really like and who i treat with every ounce of dignity and love she deserves...then she finds out about my criminal history and suddenly POW! gone....

then i end up with some idiot of a woman who really only deserves the jizz in the face aftermath that she subsequently gets for the next few month.

whats a guy to do eh?

as you say though, onward and upward.

I generally just assume they won't be interested in me so I have nothing to lose which allows me to be calm and confident. It's not a perfect strategy, but it's mine.

So close, but yet so far.

You absolutely have nothing to lose - that's so the right attitude. But on the contrary, most women will be interested in you if you give them a good reason. Finding that reason is sometimes a bit of a lottery of course, but like they say with the lottery, you have to be in it to win it.

For me the most useful strategy is to look at life as a set of opportunities to have experiences. And all experiences are good. They educate you and make you stronger. Sometimes they challenge you, sometimes they thrill you, but if you don't try them out you'll never know. If you take this approach, you can never "fail" with a woman .. all that happened is you met a woman, and you found out some things about her. One of which was that she either wasn't into the same things as you, or she was too blind or self-conscious to see the experience she was missing out on with you x

That sucks man.. but hey if she was so narrow minded as to judge you that way, it was never gonna work.

Unfortunately, man is simply not judged by his love making abilities alone. It takes alot more than how good he is in bed, to make him who he is.

if your history is that serious, but as you say, it was a long time ago and you're a new man, then I don't know that you need to tell her... I mean, why does she need to know the details? for your own peace of mind? That could be seen as pretty selfish.

Also, if you're gonna spill your guts to women and it's that bad, you're just gonna keep attracting the wrong sort of women aren't you? I know you don't want a saint, but I'm sure you don't want some dumb ass girl who's all tied up in chasing something that's not even you any more.

Update: Went dancing tonight. Heather and I were both in the "fast lindy" class. Now, normally it's hard for me to keep my eyes off of her, somehow my eyes just come to rest on her. But, after reading a pdf book that MaxP sent me, I read about how women like a "chase", a challenge, something not so easy to get; like a cat with a feather toy, you can't make it too obvious or easy, or the cat will get bored and ignore it.

Now, I don't quite agree with absolutely everything that was in that book (Mystery Method), like using lies to get attention and create false stories. That just sounds shallow and insecure. But more of the theory and less of the application (well, their type of application) was interesting, and I took it to heart.

So, during the class, I deliberately tried not to look at her. I actually caught her glancing at me a few times out of the corner of my eye, but didn't return it. After the class, there were three of us (me, Heather, and a guy Chris), I told Chris (so that Heather would indirectly hear) that I just took my first Blues dance class last Saturday and loved it. Her eyes immediately perked up. I said I downloaded some Ray Charles and BB King and listened to it on the way. I think, analyzing it after-the-fact, this helped demonstrate passion.

Then she sat down and started fixing her stockings. She was wearing a skirt, which was the first time I saw her in one, and had these mid-thigh stockings. HOT! I really tried not to look, and told Chris that there was a blues dancing venue tomorrow night that I've never been to, that I want to try. Heather got excited and said that she goes there all the time. I got excited too, at the prospect that I could be dancing with her two nights in a row. Maybe I showed my excitement a bit too much, but I don't think it brought the "curiosity" level down.

Then Chris left, Heather stood up, another guy I didn't know approached us, trying to get in on the conversation. You know what? SHE IGNORED HIM and kept looking straight at me. So I said my line, "You know, we rarely get to dance. If you're getting ready to go and we haven't danced yet, come find me." She said, "OK", and then I turned around.

Behind me was a girl Natasha, whom I had met on Saturday night (at my first blues class). She's cute but I'm not interested, she had been waiting behind me to talk to me. I greeted her energetically and we sat down to talk, and could only talk about 5 minutes before her class started. (umm, displaying pre-selection, anyone?)

I basically wanted to see, if I didn't keep searching for her (Heather) like I always do, would she come searching for me? I wanted to see if it would be possible to make her chase me. I kept dancing with other girls; if I saw Heather, I would kind of glance past her and find someone else to dance with... don't want to be too eager or easy. You know what? By 10:30, she found me, pinned me down (figuratively), and asked for a dance. BAM!

The dance was great, I told her I was going to practice my new blues moves on her (a lot of rhythmic hip gyrations :)), and she had a huge smile on her face the whole time. I can tell she really likes to dance with me. Then about an hour later, the DJ puts on, as a joke, the Cee-Lo Green song "F--- You." Heather was in conversation with another man, but I just swooped in and stole her away. I danced a bit goofy because it's a goofy song, and we had a blast.

After that song (the band was just about to come back on stage after their break), I said that I'd see her tomorrow. Didn't want to seem too needy for attention. Can't wait for tomorrow night!

As a bonus, Shirley drove down from the City (the one that has "all bars full"), I got a quick dance in with her.

All in all, an awesome night. I realized that I actually do have game, I just gotta play it right.

My brain crashes too.
It's too busy at not staring their boobs with open mouth and drooling saliva, to have a decent conversation or thinking "something interesting to say"

lol i learned to get over the whole staring at boobs thing wheni was quite young. i had 4 sisters and zero brothers so when they all had friends round i would talk to their boobs. my sisters told all their mates "if he talks to your boobs. slap him"

so they did. and when you get slapped several times a day for talking to boobs, you soon learn to look at their face instead. lol.

true story.

I'm the same way guys, but that sh!t is going to change very soon. I've been studying up
on my lifelong deficiency and am putting myself in total mental makeover.

Go to www.kurtseduction.com for some free info. Free videos on the right and plenty
of reading materials. I'm done with second rate women, I'm going to the top.

Hottie or bust.

Nice, I will check out that web site.

Oh, just in case anyone is wondering what blues dancing looks like, here's a youtube video I found with a quick search: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7yJ3QX3B5Y

My style is more similar to the second guy; I like the body rolls from "close embrace" position.

Here is a quick video of Lindy Hop: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mBdAuXr4ssQ

This guy does some aerials (throwing the follow into the air) but these are normally not done on the dance floor (too dangerous). Lindy is faster, more athletic and acrobatic, and centered around fun, goofiness, and silliness, whereas Blues is must more freeform, interpretive, and a lot sexier.

EDIT: Oh hey, also wanted to add, my friend brought his 2-y/o daughter last night. She's really comfortable around me since I spent time with her at home building a fort. So I went up to her, knelt down, and started doing some simplified dance moves. Then I held her in my arms and did some twirls. When I saw she was a little dizzy, I handed her back to her daddy. Then, I noticed that all the girls on the sidelines were looking right at me, giggling and whispering to their friends. WINNING!

Good job man!! Game isn't something you really have to try to achieve, it's just something you have to develop and go with. I think having "game" is just another way of saying "show some personality and be yourself".....which in my experience is what girls go for.

Haha, if you're going to achieve "Sucess" with women, they're going to be pretty stupid women.

Apparently you didn't have much "success" in spelling class, Spanky.

nor you in irony class. That's what it says on the site, and why I put it in quotes.
