how important is the warm up really?

Oh ... just around ...
Warming up primarily does three things: 1) gets blood flowing to the groin, 2) loosens ligs and tissues and 3) helps to prevent injury (not that you can't get injured anyway, but this helps stave it off). That's it really. Some guys swear by it, others not so much. I warmup maybe 95% of the time and I can tell a big difference in my sessions when I do and when I don't.

I don't know if it is like lifting or swimming or running or whatever, so I cannot say for certain if warming up is necessary for sure or not, all I know is that the PEgym survey showed that warming up is not beneficial to PE and in my own experience I found warming up to be at best neutral or even detrimental to my workout.

Fantastic. Then this is your own personal experience.

The whole purpose of PE is to achieve a healthier, larger penis while reducing the chance for injury as much as possible. It is one thing to say that warming up is not beneficial to you specifically. But why does that mean that you should then advocate it to everyone else? To say warming up is "detrimental" is just silly. It either helps you or it doesn't...it cannot hurt you, in any way shape or form. If you feel it does, please explain the reasoning behind this.

What if I was to tell everyone to start doing erect bends and uli's after only 3 weeks of PE, simply because it worked well for me and I saw some good gains. Some people would be tempted to try it, and would likely hurt themselves. Same goes with this, people just starting PE are not pros, and don't really know what the hell they're doing. Because of this they can pull a little to hard, or jelq a little to tight. Warming up gives the beginner a little leeway, and reduces their chances of having an injury...which is really the main purpose of warming up, besides increase blood flow and the fact that things stretch easier when they're warmer.

I have found that a long warm-up is essential when I am jelqing. I do not bother to warm up
before a stretching session. But I did not start stretching until I had jelqed for three months
every single day. After this progressive jelqing routine with 10 to 15 minute warm-ups, my
penis was conditioned enough to start separate stretching and edging sessions without a
warm-up.

But this was after another one to two months of jelqing for 90 minutes followed by 30 minutes
of stretching.

So bottom line is: I did a long warm-up before each p.e. session for the first 5 to 6 months of
my p.e. "career."

Nine years later, I can even do intense blaster sessions without a warm-up.

Apparently you missed the first half of my sentence...the personal experience was simply IN ADDITION (this time I am being harsh) to what the PEsurvey results showed. You are just as much in the wrong for advocating warming up as I would be to advocate not warming up since your opinion is based only off what other people's personal experiences are or your own experience, just like mine is based of the responses of individuals in the survey and my own experience. There are just as many people here who do not warm up as do, some cool up too, no one can know which is the best unless a large scientific study was conducted, but the survey says it does not help...I will go with the survey over you.

If I warm up longer before I do my heavy girth exercises I get better PI's after, if I don't warm up enough I get some red spots that I don't normally get with a good warm up. So I warm up.

Bottom line- no warm up= more intense. Warm up= safer. You should decide what you can handle or what you cannot. We could debate whether the warm up/ warm down is essential or detrimental for as long as we want, but it is up to you. Whatever your decision may be, I hope it benefits YOU. Good luck with your gains.

For awhile I got lazy and skipped my tradtional rice sock warm up. To be honest it didnt feel the same, tissue was tight, glands werent really as responsive as they tradtionally were. After that I make it a point to warm up, 10-15 minutes if im really feeling it, the results are there. My glands retain the heat, the tissue feels looser and more flexible and generally responds better. Even a warm down helps break up some of the edema fluid I get from a BathMate. Whatever works for you though dude, some people do a light exercise to warm up some people work out in the shower or a bath. Either way, whatever get's you gains is good, I dont try not to think about miracle methods. As long as you do your exercises everyday and see relative gains, it's time well invested. :)

I wasn't advocating anything, just stating the facts. What it comes down to is you should do what works best for you...I'm still confused as to how it is detrimental though, can you elaborate?
