How exactly to make reverse kegels?

Hi,

I saw that against PE, RK are way more effective than kegels. However, I fail to find a very good explanation of how to perform: ( I know the basic, push like you would pee )

1. I tend to contract also my abs during this process. Is this ok?
2. I feel like all I do is put air in my lower abs and keep it there. While I do this I cannot breath. Is this ok?
3. How long should I keep it?
4. Is there any correlation between kegels and reverse kegeles? If I do 10 kegels holding each 5 secs, must I do 10 reverse kegels and hold them for 5 secs?

kind regards,

Man, that is a great question. I can not seem to figure that out, either.

And, not to hijack your thread, but if I might offer a little bit of an explanation of what a kegel is and what a reverse kegel is so that this confusing topic might be a little less confusing.

So, this is essentially all about the so-called Pelvic Floor and balance. Balance here means both strength and tension. To be more clear, balance means that both areas of the Pelvic Floor are equally strong and that there is little to no tension in the Pelvic Floor.

Why is this important? And, what in the hell is the Pelvic Floor?

Good questions....I will attempt to explain (if and when I error please correct me):

The Pelvic Floor is really important. Generally speaking, when a man suffers from Premature Ejaculation there is *OFTEN* a strong imbalance in the Pelvic Floor. This imbalance creates tension, and this tension results in reaching the PONR much more quickly than one might like *AND/OR* than one otherwise would.

Okay....so having an imbalance in the Pelvic Floor leads to tension and this tension makes me cum fast. What now?

Good question. Here are some ideas:

There are two areas of interest...the 'front' Pelvic Floor and the 'back' Pelvic Floor.

The Front Pelvic Floor is essentially the BC muscle while the Back Pelvic Floor is the IC/PC muscles.

And, to provide a definition......Kegels are strengthening exercises while Reverse Kegels are stretches. Totally different concepts here and a very very important distinction.

So, to start with what most folks know....

The Kegel is a strengthening exercise and it is performed by stopping the flow of urine. If you are erect, when you perform a Kegel you are making your erect penis jump up. Most guys know about this exercise and can rather easily isolate the BC and perform the exercise with little to no issues.

Okay....this is a good thing. There are lots of benefits to doing Kegels.

So, what is a Reverse Kegel? Well, it is not an exercise that strengthens the back muscles (IC/PC)! Nope! Nice try. Thanks for playing. Please try again.

So, the Reverse Kegels are stretching events, with the Front Reverse Kegel relaxing the BC and the Back Reverse Kegel relaxing the IC/PC muscles, that one does to - among many things - remove tension from the area. This is very helpful in delaying one from reaching the PONR.

That should be a very interesting conversation, especially for our colleagues who experience Premature Ejaculation. They go through the same stages as those who do not have PreEj with the major difference being that they kinda race through the stages and reach PONR very quickly.

So, when you are having sex (does not matter what kind.....masturbation, receiving a hand job, receiving a blow job or having PIV penetration) and you feel involuntary kegels (spasms) the thing to do is to perform a Front Reverse Kegel. That will relax the area and remove tension from the area and - for lack of a better term - resets the countdown to PONR. But it has to be done before the PONR is reached. Well before.

The idea of balance is important as well. So, doing Reverse Kegels before and after doing Kegels is a wondeful concept that likely escapes most guys. Think of how an injury to your left knee messes up your right hip. Huh? It is true. The injury to your left knee messes up your gate. The human body being the absolutely incredible machine that it is compensates for that injury to your left knee and eventually your right hip is all out of whack! Make sense now?

Same thing applies here to this conversation. Most guys are going to have a strong kegel (because they do that) but because of this 'strength' there is imbalance (in the form of tension) and this imbalance leads to PreEjac. See? Left knee injury = right hip being sore!

There are some really good write ups in the Premature Ejaculation forum.

I would encourage everyone in here to spend a fair amount of time in both the Erectile Dysfunction and Premature Ejaculation forums as well as in this forum. I mean, if you know what the process is for getting and maintaining an erection (actually very involved process) and for an ejaculation to happen (several stages....each one important in this process) then you have a much better idea of what is happening and (and this is key) a much better chance to vastly improve yourself, both in terms of your actual hardware (LOL! I have been waiting to say that) and in terms of the process.

I mean, who does not want an absolutely rock hard cock each and every time you get with your lucky lady and you rock her world with an amazing performance, each and every time. She will do anything for you.....

Knowledge is power, gentlemen! It is there. We just have to want to absorb it. For me, that is a no-brainer. But, everyone is different.

Hope that this helps!

An explanation I once read was put this way:

to kegel, imagine you are pulling your balls up towards the body.
To reverse kegel imagine you are pushing your balls down and away from the body

Think of it more as a drop. When I heard "push" I actually pushed like I was constipated. That's wrong.

Ha! Well, thank you, Jay! My ex-wife used to tell me that I like the sound of my own voice (read: I talk....a lot). Apparently, I write like I talk! LOL!

:angel:Check this thread out:angel:

Thanks for the info BB, I did read through that thoroughly and had a couple of questions, apologies if I missed the answer:

1. I can't find anywhere that describes how the belly breathing combo works

2. When doing the RK, is it better to do it on the exhale of breath or inhaled state?

3. How many RKs reps per set (you mentioned set of 3) and how long is each hold?

4. I understood it is not good to do RKs while any stretching, as it should be done only in relaxed state

My personal issue is difficulty achieving and maintaining EQ (without meds), once I have any sort of erection, once starting an erect kegel routine (as part of stamina routine) I lose erection completely. I need to continue manual stimulation to maintain any type of erection. I suspect something else at play here but won't know for sure until I get a full exam (cavernosagram).

My current routine is 50 kegels while stretching with a 5 second hold each. And how many ever kegels I can do while erect at a later time. Then I do start/stop as part of the stamina routine.

Back to RKs, during sexual activity I experience premature ejaculation so I figure if I'm doing kegels, I should also stretch that area as well.

Thank you in advance.

(belly breath combos) --{breathing reverse kegel}
She had me lay on my back with my hand over my belly, and told me to breath in through the nose like using my diaphragm, and then breath out through my mouth. While doing this, time the belly breath with the reverse kegel.
So breath in through your nose, blow up your belly like a balloon, and your PF will expand. Finally, just exhale through your mouth. She said to focus on using my lower abdomen to breath instead of my chest. She said do this for 5 mins everyday.
So basically, the belly breath combo is when you time your reverse kegels to your breathing.

REMEMBER: You will do belly breath combos while squatting, yoga, and stretching, this is why they are important!
You will also do these throughout the day
