Nope. I mean simply from the standpoint of a libertarian I find it irresponsible of the government to regulate private business. Thats all.

Well, people should not just rely on pills and elixers to make them well. Health care will only wotk if everyone takes responcibility for his her own health. with the fucked up diets most Americans eat universal health care will bankrupt the already bankrupt koffers this country has.

But when that business promoted dropping sick and dieing patients to raise there bottom line.. they are directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans.. isnt that genocide??

"Genocide is the deliberate and systematic destruction, in whole or in part, of an ethnic, racial, religious, or national group."

I wonder how those that were victims of real genocide in Rwanda would feel about that.

well it was just a figure of speech, to emphises what the insurance company's actually do..

Im a independent, but i do think we need a public option to encourage competition with the prices for insurance that people can buy

I'm no republican...not by a far shot. But I can't stand government intervention in anything, for any reason. Provide us with national security and infrastructure (roads and such) but leave the rest to the people.

Towns used to be run by the people who lived in them. Now they're run by the government.

I'd just like to ask anyone who supports this tragic piece of legislation how our government plans on paying for this without raping the pockets of every hardworking citizen in this country? I don't think Nancy and her pack of blood-sucking liberal friends every thought about that one. It was more of a "we have to get this done" without ever stopping to think if we even should get it done. This sorry piece of legislation will be burnt to a crisp by the U.S. Supreme Court once the states file lawsuits. They have been looking for a way to get back at Obamarama for his snub at the State of the Union Address.

That is very true. Abominable Obama left them literally shaking their heads at him (or was that the military that he pissed off as well). And the Democrats will feel this one in November. But the Republicans need to get their sh*t together and put out candidates that represent the people and the Constitution.

I think they legalized maurijuana because it cuts into the ciggerette $$$. As far as i am concerned cigs kill. It will greatlky reduce crime in this country to leagalise Mary Jane. Even though i do not smoke it myself. It does have medicicinal and textile properties.

Its not even Obama...its the bill that was drawn up by the legislative branch. Not to say that Obama is guilt-free on this one, but Pelosi is the culprit.

And the unconstitutional nature of the bill is that it regulates private businesses. We all kinda forget that health insurance companies are, among other things, a business. Gov. regulation of them is not constitutional by ANY means.

But what about the public option? The argument against the public option is that the government will be able to offer health care at lower rates than private companies because they do not need to turn a profit. Because of this, private companies will eventually be run out of business, ensuring a "public option" take over, AKA socialized health care.

And of course his speech was a lot of nothing. "Not a victory for one party." Yeah, doesnt seem like a victory for the house republicans who voted 178-0 against the bill...
