Actually humans have evolved, to our relatively hairless selves, over the last 50,000 years. Men and women sought mates that had less and less hair, therefore, exposing the skin to observation and scrutiny to provide clues to health and parasite load. The hair on the genitals signaled mating maturity and also allows for the dispersion of pheromones (which we've totally wrecked with perfume...probably a good reason for that).
What ever the case, we seam to continue our evolution toward less and less hair.
I like very little hair as it allows for some fun recreation and I've noticed that excessive hair on a womans parts can detract from the sensations that I might be working to provide her.

It is interesting Vulcan, it's reasonable to surmise that our options for personal grooming render us harlequins to the interested sex. Basically, we are artificially 'improving' ourselves leaving little trace of our true genetic nature. Therefore, I don't believe that it will die out at much as be hidden. We sometimes forget that women have hair legs too, until we see that 'natural' girl in the coffee shop.

Personally, I like the way it feels when my lips and the area abouve my clit are shaved. The smoothness and sensitivity feels great (especially with lube, either natural or intentionally applied). As for shaving the rest, I like a trimmed landing strip or nice V-shaped patch (small or large) because I think it looks good, mature and feminine at the same time. Shaving completely bare leaves one looking a bit too much like a pre-pubescent girl for my taste.
If I am not going in for shaving for a while, then I always like to be trimmed. My wild curly-haired days are passed now that I have discovered how nice it is to be trimmed or partly shaved!
