Workout done for today. I have been noticing that my arms have been shaking a little bit while doing the bench presses ever since that one time I failed to complete a set. My foot is still having issues as well, but as long as I don't stretch it out or scratch that particular part of the muscle things are usually good.

Quick Sunday workout done for today. I didn't have as much pain in my right arm as I usually do, which either means I am healing or getting stronger so it doesn't affect me like it did. After that I definitely felt the burn today.

I put more thought into my idea of biking across the country and I am definitely not going to be able to do that any time soon. So while I wait for that I was thinking of getting a stationary bike in the future, unfortunately it can't be too expensive and needs to hold about 350 pounds. Anyone know of a cheap brand like that?

Workout for today is done. I felt like doing more so I went ahead and did 0.7 miles of farmer's walk. I haven't done that since last year and it was incredibly easy to pick up 67 pounds, compared to where I was at last year. I guess if I haven't lost any more weight that I have gotten stronger, which is a positive thing I think. The curls were a tad difficult today.

I have been noticing my body warm up for no reason like it used to. Hasn't happened since last year and it has come to be rather annoying like it used to.

Just curious, why the same weight for everything?

It is probably odd, but I am not a fan of spending the time to continuously change out weights, makes me feel like I am not doing anything.

Today's workout done. The yard work happened yesterday, but I forgot to mark it down, so it is on today's work out. I helped my dad with a lot of yard work, from raking to moving the remains of an entire tree that was cut down. Doing today's little workout was a little harder from me still being quite sore from yesterday.

I believe I have gained a little bit of weight, probably from bad eating over certain weekends.

Workout done for today. The bench press was a little difficult today for some reason, but I made sure I got it done. No farmer's walk today as the temperature definitely wasn't the warmest (it being upper 30's).

Lately I have been feeling a little bit more.....inspired(?) and it is an odd feeling.

Workout done for today. I am pretty sure when I increase the weight I will have to change the way I do my sets and reps, probably about time I do the correct way that you folks have been telling me to do for so long. The curls were the same amount of difficult as usual and the bench presses were oddly slow today. No farmer's walk because of rain.

Damn woman, you're an inspiration. That is a phenomenal transformation. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks.

Moving up! I don't know which exercises you are talking about but from all my years of lifting this is what I know.
Pull ups work the biceps, triceps, some chest and back.
Chin ups work the biceps, back and shoulders,
Wide pull ups your back and shoulders

standard Push ups- chest and shoulders
diamond pushup- chest and triceps
wide push - chest, back and shoulders and some triceps
military push ups - chest, triceps and biceps

so since they overlap in many of these they actually work the same muscles. I do P90X3 daily, not only does the book, video and recording app tells you what you are working, the soreness of the muscles tells you too.

Dontrike use what works for you. Are you still thinking of biking cross country? Sounds like it would be fun.

The idea for biking across country is still on my mind, but it wouldn't happen for some time. A good chance it never will happen, but I think it is a nice idea to possibly strive for at some point in time. The real purpose would be to get to a specific place if I haven't gotten there before I would do something like that. If I get to that place (yay for the pronoun game) then maybe at some point down the road I could see myself doing it for fun.

It was pretty awesome telling people about this idea, only because they were trying to talk me out of it and I could swear they though I was going to be doing it the next weekend.

The things I would need to do for such a venture though is a little high with the biggest being to lose enough weight so any bike I ride isn't stressed and breaks just from me riding it.

That is a little sad right now is that I need to lose enough weight just to be able to ride the bike to let me lose even more weight. Good thing I can start doing the farmer's walks again as they will definitely help my weight loss like they did last fall. As soon as I added them I lost 15 pounds in a very short time.

Walking is all I did when I lose the first 75 pounds, I was too heavy for anything else. I graduated to power walks, yoga, aerobics, weight training, etc and got back into shape little by little to my health prior to the accident.

Well here's the thing, pullups and chinups are hugely targeting back and biceps and back shoulders. The front should is pretty much negligible. It be like touting squats a good arm workout because youre holding onto the bar .. Pullups are a pulling movement and pushups are a pushing movement. Pushups mainly work THE FRONT shoulders and the chest and triceps ... It's pretty common knowledge. Pulling movements are mostly back shoulder, back, and bi and pushing are the opposite muscles ... tricep, chest, and front shoulders ... I promise you.

I'll have to do more of that. I have to wonder how much more exercise it is with an extra 67 pounds on my shoulders. I was thinking of increasing the weight on it, but it is probably best that I get used to the bar being on my neck and shoulders before I increase the weight.

It would be nice if I could bike back to my childhood home again this year, but I suppose we will have to see how fast I can lose the weight and then get back to training on the bike.

Short workout done for today. The presses are getting tougher to finish every time and the curls were taking it's toll on my right arm, not in the same way that it was with the pain, but with some strain. I suppose it is better than the pain in the forearm.

Dontrike using the same exact weight for all your exercises is beyond retarded. That's like next level retarded. There's doing what you like so you enjoy the gym and then there's doing what you like so you enjoy the gym but hinder yourself tremendously and lose out on what would be much better progress and therefore essentially wasting your time.

You're doing the latter.

Today's workout done. Went pretty smooth and no real problem.

I did some small walking yesterday, about 1.2-1.4 miles, to go to a potential job opportunity. Nothing special just a sandwich board thing for a pizza place. Better than nothing and it will allow me to do something special for someone this year, plus some income over the summer would be nice. Won't help me during the summer, but at least I am getting out there I suppose.
