As much as I don't want to do it tomorrow I am going to look at what I eat and count the calories as I am sure I have gained quite a bit of weight recently.

I recorded what I ate yesterday. These are, usually, the typical meals for me everyday.

Breakfast - Cereal (Frosted Mini Wheats) and 2 mandarin oranges
Calories - 966

Yes I know that is unbelievable. This surprised me in two ways, one that a mandarin orange is about 103 calories, and the next is that I was having about twice as much cereal as I thought I was actually having.

Lunch - 2 Egg wraps (2 whole wheat tortillas, 4 slices of lunch meat, 1 slice of cheese, 6 eggs), 2 pieces of toast (with peanut butter), and an apple
Calories - 1295

This isn't all that surprising to me although it is still not great. I usually have 2 oranges with this meal as well, but yesterday I ran out because of breakfast.

Dinner - Salad (with shredded cheese and light ranch dressing), a sandwich (1 slice of cheese and 8 pieces of lunch meat), and 2 mandarin oranges.
Calories - 1021

Total - 3217

Now I didn't do the math for the overall totals of each meal until just now, so this surprises the absolute fuck out of me, and it is no wonder why I haven't been losing weight the last 4-5 months. Not to mention this doesn't even count the occasional extra bowl of cereal I have if I am feeling hungry.

Now the problems I have here is that even with this crazy amount of calories I am putting into myself I still have those cravings for that extra something late at night and breakfast and dinner only keep me satisfied for about 3 hours or so while lunch keeps me satiated around 5 or 6 hours. The others being that my options for meals are the ones listed, some sort of pasta, or chicken (which usually ends up in the pasta) and that is about the limit of my knowledge when it comes to cooking. The final problem would be that I have zero money and while I have some control over the food that comes into the house I am not the one with the final say on it all.

So obviously some things need to change, and in a pretty big way, and the only thing I can think of is reducing some of the things I eat, but that only leads to an increase in hunger situation.

I have read over the internet where if you wear a light-weight jacket in warm weather while you're walking outside, you will burn over 600 calories, because, when the muscles are warm, you sweat and sweat reduces calories, I wear a jacket when I'm at work, cause I go outside quite frequently. Hope that helps

I was on a 1800 calorie diet at one time,it was really strick. I couldn't eat nothing but meat and veggies, and I just simply failed after a while, because, I felt it wasn't doing right, I wasn't loosing weight, and I just gave up, but I'm trying to loose weight with a better attitude and a fresher mind.

I have started to think about exercising a little differently. I have started working on my diet a little more, although it has been a slow process.

Quick Sunday workout done. I wasn't going to say anything about this recently, but while doing the curls I have this odd.....I guess it would be considered pain in the middle area of my forearms. At first I thought it was just with the barbell curls, seeing as that is 100 pounds, but doing curls with 30 and this happening leads me to be believe that something might not be quite right.

Workout done today. I have reached the point where the push-ups have become a pain. I did have a tightness in my abdomen doing the crunches, but otherwise nothing out of the unusual today.

Appetite has been a small annoyance the last week and I'm not sure how I can remedy it.

Hey Donrike have you tried cycling the caloric intake to help with digestion? Is what I have to do when I am training. Also do you only do regular crunches? Have you tried other abdominal exercises. I do an entire abdominal routine and I do not do crunches. If you go to you tube and search this names you will see how to do them and hopefully they will help.

Tin Man Windmill
Dolphin Hops
C-Y Reach
Sphinx Crunch Hold (I modify these)
5-Way Abrinome
Hip Drop Twist right and left
Bridge Burners
Speed Bike

Hope that helps as an alternative, if needed.

Can't say that I know what cycling is when it comes to eating.

Also do you only do regular crunches?

Besides the weight I am holding while I am doing them they are just normal ones.

I did try other ab exercises the last time that I worked out, over a year ago, but nothing like that during this current exercise season of mine.

I'll take a look at them, thanks for the info.

Dontrike cycling is when you have a different caloric intake per day or every few days to keep your body from adjusting to a set caloric intake. You don't have to be crazy accurate with it, but you can. Once you figure out your caloric intake for the goal your shooting for ie. lean, pumped muscle, etc. then you stick to that 2 days and then bellow one day and then 2 days normal and then 1 day above. Watch you portions you go ever by eating more meals not bigger meals at one shot. Hope that helps.

Crunches with the weights are awesome but tend to work only one area of the abs and ab routine will get your V relly nice and work the upper abs more effectively. I no longer bodybuild for competition but I still follow the routines since I am not getting any younger and I want to keep my health and body in shape as much as I can.

You workout routine impresses me you are very loyal to it and haat is awesome the hardest thing is getting in a routine.

Sunday workout done today. Yet again I got this pain halfway up my forearm from doing the curls. The 3rd set I did I took it slower and my arm hurt less, but this ache is quite annoying. I think it might be the bone, at least when I go searching for the issue it feels like it.

  • Arnold Dumbbell Press

Right now portions, and my food intake, is one of my bigger issues. I can't seem to get my appetite under control.

I no longer bodybuild for competition but I still follow the routines since I am not getting any younger and I want to keep my health and body in shape as much as I can.

I think I only do the abs as I need something to target that area, at least a little, but if I don't get my appetite under control and don't lose weight then I will only be able to keep one giant ab.

Pardon my continuing ignorance, but what is a "V"?

You workout routine impresses me you are very loyal to it and haat is awesome the hardest thing is getting in a routine.

Thanks, although I seem to be harming myself a little bit more than I probably should be for some reason.
