I want to preface this with saying that all of these problems have been affecting me for as long I can remember. I also want to note that these symptoms affect me inside, and outside of the bedroom, so while it's definitely possible I'm having anxiety problems, I do get the idea that it's something more.
Just some background information about myself. I'm 22 and have been masturbating since I was about 13. I'd say the entire time I was consistently doing it every other day. When I would PMO, I would always flex my kegel muscles because it felt good, and didn't realize it might hurt me in the long run. Now let's get into the actual problem.
So I just got a girlfriend a few months ago and she is the first one I've been sexually active with. Or at least tried to be sexually active with. She realized I had a problem when we tried to fool around and I just wasn't getting the EQ I wanted. I think I have 4 symptoms I'll note:
The first, and worst, is my immediate loss of erection without stimulation. Wherever I am in EQ, if I am even slightly aroused, my erection will IMMEDIATELY go down if I am not receiving stimulation.
I've read a couple of threads where people had similar issues, but most of the time it took about 10-15 seconds to lose their erection as opposed to maybe 1 second for me. Also, most people seemed to get this when they got a full erection, but I receive these problems no matter where I am in EQ.
The second problem I've been noticing is an inability to get a full, 100% erection without doing a kegel. This probably stems from me constantly doing kegels while masturbating in the past, and my body thinking I only need an erection when I kegel. This is incredibly annoying because thinking back, I don't really know if I've ever had a full erection without manually trying to flex to make it larger.
The third problem I have, which is tied into the second, is that my body seems to always try and do kegels on its own. I've tried to start taking note of whenever I flex my base muscles while getting stimulated so that I can try to relax and stop. The issue is that I think I'm so used to doing kegels that they happen involuntarily sometimes, especially when getting close to orgasm.
My fourth problem, and probably least annoying, is that I have a very hard time getting any forms of erection while sitting on my back. This gets annoying because my girlfriend likes going on top of me, but it's honestly a simple fix of me being on top instead.
Those are the four issues I have been dealing with this for most of my life. Before any of you say it, yes, I'm definitely addicted to porn. I've been taking steps to try and change that though. I'm currently on day 57 of normal mode for nofap (just no PM), and am trying to quit porn altogether. At the same time, easier said than done. If I'm lucky, all my problems stem from this, and even if it takes me 157 days of nofap, if it makes me better I'll take it. I can personally say that the last time my gf and I got together, when in the right position, I got harder than I can ever remember, without doing a kegel. I think this is thanks to nofap and am therefore happy that I'm already seeing some improvements!
As stated before, I'm also trying to stop doing kegels altogether. While I definitely cut out kegel exercises altogether, I've been trying my best to do them as little as possible when masturbating or in the bedroom.
I've also thought about venous leak, and while it is in theory possible, that seems to be a very rare disease that might get over diagnosed on the internet. I've scheduled an appointment with a urologist just to be safe though.
So that brings me to this forum. I've been a long time lurker, but never actually posted. Figured someone might have some ideas I haven't thought of, and it's also just nice to flesh out the problems I have in writing.
So does anyone have any thoughts on what it could be? Is it the porn and kegels and I probably have PIED? Maybe something else? Have I and anxiety problems all along? Or is it something totally out of left field? Any thoughts on what are causing this would be incredible. Thanks for the support!
