There has been a lot written lately that men are emotionally, physically and chemically turned off when a woman cries.

Women cry for a lot of reasons. Can you imagine how mean and bad ass we would be without that outlet?

My question is to the men. If a woman cries after an orgasm or if she misses you, does that turn you off?
What are you thinking of at that moment?

I've never had a woman cry after an orgasm, not really sure how I would react to that one in particular. As for crying if she misses me, it's kind of a two sided feeling I feel terrible because she is crying and I hate to see or here and girl cry, but it does make me feel happy to know that she cares about me that much. Depending on why she is crying I either go immediately to doing whatever I can to cheer her up whether its making her laugh or just holding her. Or just smile and laugh at her if shes crying cause shes happy.

There is a danger this might come out wrong but I think I become really attracted to women when they cry. Not in a weird psycho way. It's not cause I enjoy seeing them suffer. But there is just something about the vulnerability that makes them seem so sweet and feminine that I want put my arm around them and look after them and make them feel better.

Also I've had problems all my life with mental illness so I do relate to emotionally unstable girls a lot more then super confident ones.

It depends. If she cries when she misses me, then I think thats cool. If she cries alot, then there would be a problem. She would seem mentally unstable to me.

:agree:

I've only experienced the crying after an orgasm thing once with an ex. She said it was the deepest, most intense thing she'd felt. I didn't read anything into it - not to dismiss her, but at the time, we weren't even all that involved (at least in my estimation we weren't).

It doesn't turn me off at all. Crying is something that I've just grown to associate with the female species. It kills me too if she's crying because of something I said or did............then I feel like a major dirt bag.

Islander,

Here is my take on it. My wife often cries after sex, especially after intense sessions. She says that it is a pent up release of emotions that were so overwhelming in that intense orgasm or moment. Love, sadness, fights, hard day, loss...you name it. They are all factors in my wife and in the intensity that we come together in need or passion. So when she cries after sex, no it is not a turn off, it leads me to further follow her heart and either be there for her emotionally by holding her or asking about her day or maybe just more Love making, which usually ends up being a better session even though its less intense...if you understand what i mean.
When She cries when im going away or on that special day for work...again it lets us enter in to intimacy were i can meet her where she is, since some of those tears could have nothing to do with me...Sorry guys it usually has nothing to do with us:)
And...here is the And....I am also slightly turned on when she cries...i think it is in every man to want to rescue the damsel in distress, its how we are made, and its great...

But then if it was a girl friend and it has been short term thing, that would be weird if she cried all the time.

That is exactly what it is.
It's a beautiful release. I've been hiding it and just recently he caught me. There is no sound just tears. He kissed them up. Held me.
I just wanted to double check with y'all. Thank you :)

It only bothers me if I feel it is an attempt to manipulate or "manage" me. I hate that.

It really turns me off if a girl cries before sex. That would totally kill it for me.

I can see how anyone who see's someone else crying would feel bad. Your knee jerk reaction is to console the person.
Thats normal.

To be able to cry freely AFTER an orgasm will be great. Not that it happens all the time but whenever you are insecure about something and you feel the need to hold back that sux. I am glad to have grown a little more in this area. Baby steps lol Work in progress lol I am going to be on hiatus for over a month and not able to see him. The anticipation of this is sad. I am sure when I see him for the last time before I go I will cry. That is the "missing you" cry, its real and I consider myself a professional crier so I only add sound when I am alone lol He has seen my tears roll down my face on the missing you cry before. He was not put off by it. He felt bad because I was sad but he too felt good because of the reason. I think anyone would feel good to know they will be missed.
I think if I didn't cry and put it in a box up there like some people can, I would not feel real and it would eat up on me.

Crying: ^ I am trying to think of a time when I cry on other occations that I would want to be consoled. I mean if its a movie, no. If its a death of someone, not really but understand they feel they need to. An injury, no. Missing someone, maybe/yes. Anxiety of my child, NO. Terrible news on TV, NO. Oprah's last show, no (haha) Basically only when it directly pertains to that person I guess. Interesting I never thought about it. Hmmmm

My fiance cried after orgasm when I asked her to merry me. That was a great night all around. Any other time its usually something bad. Its not a turn off but I still feel the need to fix whatever it is she is crying about.

Islander,

I feel for you, nothing like being alone or without that special someone. And your blessed to have it. Mother Teresa Said " The most terrible poverty is loneliness and the feeling of being unloved" I would agree. And at least you have each other in love. Good luck on your hiatus....they say stolen kisses are the sweetest, i disagree...the kiss of reunion cannot be matched.

Crying never turns me off unless it is a tactict or really done way to often. if I am going to leave for a long time and my wife cries I see that as her feelings and that shouldnt piss any one off. If she cried every time she didnt get her way that would bug me.

Maybe I have a little. I know, 215 lbs and a hockey player but every so often something gets me a tad. Old Yeller did it to me when I was a teen, the book was a tear jerker. So was Where the Red Fern Grows, damn dogs always get me.
