I don't know. I think no two workouts are alike, and I'm not afraid to rest. I don't go through the motions, which is a common thing in any sort of fitness routine that leads to plateauing. I just listen to my body, and make sure I am stressing it enough to make change... also realizing that this won't happen in one night. I want to see veins pop when I squeeze. I want to see glans swell when I jelq. I want to feel the tension when I stretch. But none of that ever has to be the most intense ever. Just intense enough to create micro tears. I don't want to be anymore than a little sore the next day. When I am too sore, I'll take off, despite my plan to workout. Soreness is the body repairing itself. Why attack it again. Let it do its job. Every time you feel sore, your body is repairing bigger and stronger. Don't get in its way.
Its not the workouts that make change. Its the effect they have. Your workouts damage on a micro-level. The aftermath is when you grow. If you're overdoing it and not giving any "aftermath" time, it will never grow.
Less is more might not work for everyone, but it has worked for me.
Work SMARTER, not harder. Its a tough theory to put into application, but I've had practice in other areas of my life.
...Good to see you Danner.
