I see thet it is under discussion immigrants given visa specifically to do jobs in rural areas do not stay there but turn up in Sydney or the like shortly after emigration.

will today hand the prime minister a report on religious freedom in Australia that could trigger a new political debate over discrimination laws.
SBS News has contacted the prime minster’s office to check when the report will be publically released.
There has been no official word on the report’s contents but the recommendations are rumoured to include an expansion of anti-discrimination laws to cover religious beliefs, as reported by Queensland’s Courier-Mail.

It is currently illegal under Australian law to discriminate against people on the basis of their race, age, disability, or gender or sexual identity in various public spaces, mostly in the areas of employment and education.
But religion is not currently a ‘protected attribute’ under the laws, and Australia does not have a bill of rights like the United States.
Mr Ruddock’s panel was overwhelmed with tens of thousands of public submissions from faith groups, secular organisations, legal experts and members of the public, with more than 16,000 contributing in the first two months of the inquiry.
The panel also held a series of closed meetings with stakeholders around the country. Guests were controversially promised they could speak freely because ‘no record’ of their words would be recorded.
The panel was set up in the weeks before same-sex marriage passed into Australian law. Mr Ruddock, himself a former attorney-general, was joined on the panel by a group of experts in religion and the law: Jesuit prist Frank Brennan, former high-profile judge Dr Annabelle Bennett, Human Rights Commission president Rosalind Croucher and constitutional lawyer Nicholas Aroney.
A number of Turnbull government members tried to pass amendments to the bill that legalised same-sex marriage to insert more “protections” for religious groups.
While religious ministers were given the right to refuse to organise weddings for same-sex couples, one of the failed amendments would have extended that right to “objecting” civil celebrants too.
Former attorney-general George Brandis also floated the idea of legislating a right to "freedom of thought, conscience and religion", borrowing the language of a United Nations treaty.
But the idea of legislating “rights” in Australia for the first time is controversial within the Turnbull government.
Liberal MP Tim Wilson, who was among the Coalition’s leading voices in support of same-sex marriage, said a stand-alone bill of rights was inconsistent with socially conservative values.
"It's an oddity to see many people who identify as conservative or socially conservative, who have traditionally opposed a Bill of Rights or Charter of Rights, now prosecuting this cause," Mr Wilson said at the time.
Prime minister Malcolm Turnbull also poured water on the idea.
"The government is particularly concerned to prevent uncertainties caused by generally worded Bill of Rights-style declarations," Mr Turnbull said when he announced the review last year.
Mr Turnbull said any reforms would need to be taken “carefully”, warning of a “high risk of unintended consequences”.

Interestingly for the conservatives the change will likely result in greater protection for relegious minorities like umm muslims .
I note that the rate of population increase in Brisbane is greater than in either Sydney or Melbourne . Likewise the problems this causes with infrastructure and lifestyle are considerable.
Aussie continues to deport criminals to their home countries like umm UK for instance .
This could be a career criminal from New Zealand going back to a place he is very fimilar with .
Far more amusing when they send career criminals who grew up in aussie to someplace where they don't know the culture or language Serbia or Kazakhstan etc .

I visited the land of Oz in February. From Melbourne to Sydney. It was a wonderful trip...
Other than getting racially accosted, once, while walking back to my Suite at Crown Towers [Drunk guys in a Holden Captiva screaming "Hey Afro-(something)" numerous times] it was pretty sweet.
Got to see Kangaroos in the wild while in Wodonga. Drove the Melbourne Grand Prix track. Ate Kangaroo Stakes in Sydney, in Darling Harbor. Saw the beach with the WHITEST Sand in the world, per Guinness world records, Hyam's Beach!
I definitely need to go back to do an Aboriginal tour. Going back to Melbourne, then to Alice Springs and a travel through Northern Territory is my plan when I come back.

Don't follow football compass. It was big where i grew up but i never got into it really . I sort of am forced to follow it in that it is takes so much space up in media etc.

My favourite export from australia is the dance melbourne shuffle. In the beginning it takes some practice, but when you've got the knack of it, it's a lot of fun.
The cool thing is you can do it smooth, you can do it hard, combine it with other moves, everything is possible. When pegasus sometimes talks about his physical approaches I put this for inspiration into my dance practice.

I see aussie is working on a free trade agreement with the EU . In the face of US actions PM Turnbull made a pro trade speech . There is no doubt he believes what he says he might be a small l liberal but he is still a mainstream conserative . His main trouble he is so reasoned and reasonable he is bland .
Then again that was said about John Howard who history remembers for his great political courage and commitment to his beliefs.

. I don't know if the aussie system may be of any interest to anyone onsite if not no problem .
Ok under the aussie system you can do whatever you like privately so insure ,pay out of pocket or whatever . There is also a public system which works to varying degrees of effect depending on what it is . So for instance I have paid out of pocket for dental for myself but the govt has helped sonewhat with the daughter when she was a minor .
Ok my recent experience .
I developed severe hip pain and could not work . So being keen to get back to work i sought help .Went to the doc . Now under the aussie system the gov pays a certain sum and if the doc charges more you have a co pay . The doc i went to had no co pay and it took lesss than an hour to see him . He ordered x ray and ultra sound and i went back to him he said i had wear and tear and a hip spur this was "a flare up" be right in couple days . Ok this was all done same day at no cost so far . He suggested physio so i rang up and booked my private physio for the next day .
The doc is allowed to give me a chit to subsidise up to 5 private physio visits a year , the co pay was $20 dollars aussie other guys in the same practise would have been no co pay. He thought same as doc . I paid a couple dollars co pay for the codiene doc prescribed .
The pain did not subside I was geting worried with time off work went to the chiro which i paid out of pocket and got massage to relax the spasmed muscles paid out of pocket . Back to the doc got anti infam .
Ok now i am 2 weeks in and feeling a little better still in pain but a bit mobile hopeing to get back to work shortly . Went got a takeaway . Got home ,got out of car and collapased on the front driveway . The pain was so intense i blacked out for a moment .. The neighbours heard me and
called an ambulence . I was taken to hospital and admited . A doc saw me and gave me high level pain meds . This made it fine if i did not move if i did i still got intense pain .
That night was interesting i had a convo with a nurse about how and when to use the private system especially for surgury how to go about finding the best surgeon etc . I found this amusing since she works in a public hospital .
Anyway next day the physio looked at the x ray then he did physical tests then did more physical tests while looking under ultrasound . He said nerve inflamation ,muscle spasm, muscle imbalance . So advised bed rest drugs etc and a visit to the specialist . Now he said a wait for a public specialist could be "prolonged". So i booked a private guy still a 2 week wait and $200 dollars odd . The total cost of the ambulance hospital stay overnight the docs and physio nothing paid $12 co pay for the drugs.
I am now out of pain and will be back at work shortly.
