Go slow and turn the wheel steering lock to steering lock when changing directions, and practice.

It can be a challenge, especially if your car is considered huge by today's standards. Make sure you've got enough room to park your car.............if you're trying to fit an Escalade into a spot that would at best be big enough for one of them smartcars, it's not gonna work.

@DemOne: OK. I tried to practice yesterday, didn't go well haha. I was messing up and got pissed.

@MBD: Yea, I try to find a spot that I'll fit into.

Practice makes perfect. :)

Easiest to do it with a 3 point turn. Say you're parking in a spot to the drivers right. Steering wheel all the way to the right side lock, back up so the rear is in the center of the spot. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left side lock and get in as close to the car behind as you can. Then steering wheel all the way back to the right lock and get the front in there.

If the car is small enough it can always be a seamless thing with no real stopping to change direction, but so much easier to make it a 3 point turn.

i hope we can make teleportation possible in the near future.
Planes, cars etc are all outdated, poison the enviroment, destroy health, waste time, cause stress and are not safe. There are tons of other reasons, these are just off the top of my head.

Ok. I was trying to but I would keep getting too close to the garbage can that I was using as the front car. Anger was rising like the incredible hulk man haha.

if you don't live in a big city then use a bike.
Bike=no stress,quite the opposite actually
Car causes loads of stress and stress leads from anything from common cold to cancer and trust me you don't want that!

Much easier to back up into it rather than stick in.

There is no way around it, you need to be familiar with the size of your car and get a feel. Practice makes perfect.

Back up more then? lol

I've parallel parked too many cars to keep track of. Some with flat tires, some with no power steering, some with crash damage, so with 5 guys pushing the car, a few while being towed by a golf cart. Get the technique down, it's easy no matter what.

I learned to parallel park with a 73 Lincoln Continental. If you can park that warship, you can park anything! LOL!

Drive up next to the car in front of the space you want to park.
Go straight back in reverse maybe two-three feet and cut the wheel hard to the right (so that the nose goes into the street and the tail is going into the space.
When you are about 3/4 in, cut hard back to the left and go slow down even more as you come close to the car behind you.
Once the car is in the space, straighten the wheel and move forward a bit.

You may have to inch back and forth a bit but if you timed it right as you were backing in, you shouldn't have to. The key is not hitting the curb. You hit the curb, you're almost always screwed and have to start over. This technique has worked well for me - one of my vehicles is an SUV and can get it into almost any space - within reason of course.

A Crown Vic? Yeh - you're gonna be able master anything after that!

What year is it? You put some nice shoes on her?

Haha. It's pretty new, 2004 I think.

Nice model - they actually changed up the body a tad bit that year. I've seen them with GE kits and replacement grills on them and they look very classy - not gaudy or overboard at all.

Nice ride.

Can't do it, that's a fact. Pathetic, just add more to my barely a man list.

I had an '05 and then an '06 Crown Vic, then I had my '91 Grand Marquis and now my '79 Fairmont with a factory 302.......a granny Fairmont that takes little effort to smoke the tires......MMMUUUUAAAAHHHHHH....not that I do that, I don't because I can't afford tires right now but she flies..........and drinks ALOT of gas.

If you can parallel park a '73 Lincoln, you can parallel park anything.
