So im on the train home from college, she phoned me, i don't like talking on the phone while on a train so i text her asking whats up? she texts me saying "Why the fuck you not answering your phone? Ive fell out with my mum, can you come get me and il stay at yours for a bit" i text her letting her know id made plans to see and play football with my friends which i hadnt done for weeks, next thing i know im on the end of abuse, so i just told her to leave me for now, she see's her friends all the time and i hadn't seen mines for weeks, im playing my game of football. Then she has her friend texting me telling me to get her please, told her i don't want to be there while she hurls abuse at me, i would have happily got her after my game of football if she hadn't started abusing me. Despite all the times i was there for her, this one occasion was constantly brought up in our discussions when we split, she didn't bother to mention the many times i was there for her.

This is bad. This is very bad. :p

Is your annoyance worth breaking the trust you shared, which I'm assuming existed, since you did mention having pictures / video?

3 videos and 2 pics to be exact, ive not quite decided yet, just pissed she can throw me away like a bit of trash this easily, not even a thank you for what i did or an apology for ending it, no indication that she actually cares or did care about me.

I start to think that 98 in your nick stands for your birthyear.
Her father just died. Can you be a little more sensitive?

You can't require mental stability from her right now. She might act wrong but her father just died.
If I had a person like you over my head, when my father dies, I would probably slap you really hard. Sorry if it sounds harsh, but that's the way I would react in grief.

Also, I would probably hurt (really bad) you with words, just to get rid of you.

Be glad that she "only" deleted you on facebook.

You've got a bent nose and are considering posting video/pics of her online!??????? This on top of her losing her father!????? With all due respect, you REALLY need to grow the hell up.

I just can't get my head around things atm, oh i just turned 20 btw :p i just know she is out, at clubs and so on with her friends, ive saw pictures as i have some of her friends as friends on my facebook, i see the pictures, so why can't she at least talk to me, if she is capable of going out with her friends as much as she was before, drinking, enjoying herself why can't she act a little more adult like and talk to me?

You need to grow up .. just because she doesn't want you any more does not give you the right to try and destroy her or kick her when she is down ..
She views you as drama and going out with her friends is a fun escape from her reality... she is moving on, you need to do the same
My asshole ex's never apologized for how they treated me, I don't have explanations for why they did what they did .. its part of life .. you need to deal with it in a healthy way and move on .
You give her what she is asking for SPACE and UNDERSTANDING and you hope one day she comes back to you ..but for now the door is closing and the more you fight it the worst position you will be in ... and if you post those pics and vids of her, it will bite you in the ass .. NO female will want to touch you and most people will think you are a complete CUNT you will lose respect from more people then you realize

Yes, posting nude pictures and videos will bring her back and you will also impress all the other girls in the town. Girls like men who are emotionally insecure and does this stuff.
You are acting very maturely for being 20.

I tandem with what everyone else said, she really needs space right now. Give it to her, go out and be single its hard at first but it'll get more fun. You're in a bad place right now and you seem like a good guy in real life so I'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you're not thinking straight when it comes to the pictures and videos. Just take some time off and try not to think about her. You need space just as much as she does.

Be angry at life.. be angry at the situation ..not at her.

I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

-------

Brian, you're young, the first few times you're burned by women like this it hurts. You'll get over it, trust me.

She's moved on. There is NOTHING you can do to get her back. You can only do things to NOT make her want to come back.
Just learn from it. NEVER invest more in a female than she has invested in you.

AGAIN the advice that the male should slither about on his belly like Gollum or something, hoping that "she" may deign to take notice of him and, should he be lucky "accept" him back.

Great advice.

For emasculated white knight losers with absolutely zero self-respect who no woman is ever going to feel anything for anyway.

Reading between the lines, this girl doesn't even seem all that shaken up by her father's death anyway. Out clubbing and window shopping for something new straight away. When my Father died of Cancer, it wrecked me. But I didn't treat my GF like crap, and kick her to the curb with no explanation. ANY person in a relationship, who has invested themselves in another person, is going to feel stabbed through the heart, rudderless, confused, verging on desperate to understand what happened, if their significant other did that to them.

How hard would it have been for her to say to Brian, "Look, my world is in upheaval right now, I cannot deal with or manage the needs and expectations of someone else, I'm going to have to take a break/break this off, it's unfair on you, and not right for me"

Nope, she's just callously cut him out of her life. And has then started partying.

Brian might be being Emo and clingy here, and should just shrug his shoulders, cut his losses and move on, but no means has this girl conducted herself like an adult, or fairly either.

They broke up before her father died.. she told him before that she needed space...they have had some communication over the ending of the relationship from what i have read in his posts on the topic.. she has told and indicated that she can't deal with him at the moment... hanging out with friends and clubbing is different then hanging out with someone who has relationship expectations and a history of drama in the interactions between the two of them.

"You give her what she is asking for SPACE and UNDERSTANDING and you hope one day she comes back to you "

My advice is not based on the sex of whom i am giving it too.. i would give the same advise regardless of whether i was talking to a male of or a female...your own baggage is getting in the way of your interpretation of my words... are you a little bitter towards woman by any chance .. because i am not bias because of my gender, can you say the same?
If i have miss interpreted what you have written i am sorry but i am reading it as a dig at me, because i am female.

wow this really made my day :D your quoting fight club in disagreement with her advice about being mad at the world. really? i cant be the only one that finds that amusing. at least tell me your quoting the book and not the movie....and turning into a callused angry person does not count as "getting over it" trust me lol.

as for the bolded part all i can say is wow. if either of you look at the relationship as an investment then you both serisouly are not capable of being with someone. a relationship isnt like getting a mortage or a car......or you like fight club? maybe youll understand this then. its not like you buy a couch and then think you have that couch situation under control, woman dont work like that.

brian you have serious control issues. im wondering if maybe a little bit of ocd in there as well. You need to try and give up control of the situation. let it go. go get drunk, go get into a fight, go see strippers. but you need to let this go. leave her be. the next contact should come from her. and you should tell her calmly and politley without accusation that you just arnt ready to be with her. because what your doing cant be healthy and the relationship will never work no matter how badly you want it to. hurting her after her father died really makes you into the type of man you dont want to be. let her be. you will be a better person because of it. even if she is in the wrong her father died, you have to let her be in the wrong and you cant make her feel bad about it. let it go.

When my dad died, I did alot of crazy sh*t that had no explanation associated with it at all. The best thing you can do for yourself is A. Not post anything on the net what so ever and B. Go on living your life and do not contact her at all for anything anymore. Move on pal.

That's it. Get that nose RIGHT up there.

The "Jack" thing is just a meme that is doing the rounds on a few other forums I post on. A figure of speech. That's all. And did you even bother to stop and think what the reference was to? Why I mentioned it? Apparently not. Herpa Derp.

Ummmm, do you even understand what I meant by the term "investment"? Is English your second language? Srs question.
No woman wants a man who clings to them, who builds his life around them, who obsesses over them.

Control Issues? OCD? What? He's just a young male without much relationship experience. He lost "himself" in the relationship, and is now, as a consequence, headless as she cut him off. What he NEEDS to do is forget her ASAP, and LEARN from this relationship, where he went wrong, so that he doesn't fall into the same pitfall again.

He does need to just move on. There is no other option anyway once a woman has switched off to you. All you can do is make yourself look ever worse in her eyes by begging, weeping, raging, demanding, pleading, etc. He just has to move on ASAP.

Yeah im not going to post the videos, it wouldn't be fair and again im letting my anger and emotions get the better of me, this was part of the problem for a few of the silly little arguments but again il say it wasn't all my fault, il accept blame where i am at fault, that reason she came out with though was nothing but bullshit, it appears here like im controlling, im aware of that, but when we were together i did not control her in the slightest, i let her do what she wanted, on the other hand she did not, stopping me seeing my friends or making me feel guilty whenever i chose doing something else over spending time with her. As it is im aware ive done nothing to help myself, had i reacted better she may have still wanted to get back together but again i showed her i can't control my emotions, something i promised her id fix and the chances of her coming back and contacting me are slim, im ok with that now, it's her loss as far as im concerned and i only hope when she does realise which im sure she will and possibly contact me again i haven't met someone else. As for you know, if we talked about why, i really didn't have the chance to speak what i wanted to her, the night i saw her we went to mcdonalds, everything was fine then on the drive home to her bit she just came out with breaking it off, next thing i know she was at her house and getting out my car before i even got a chance to sort or get some sort of explanation, after that it was never the right time to talk about it. The 2 or 3 times i saw her after this was me being friendly doing something for her, each time id try to ask why before she left and she'd just say don't bother, we've had a nice time here don't waste it trying to talk about us, it's hard to bottle something like that up without getting answers which i haven't gotten face to face.

PS. just went on facebook and she has unblocked me again.......wtf.

You always seem to absolve the female of any responsibility for a relationship problem in your advice.
You're not biased because of your gender, you simply are only able to see things from the female's perspective. What self-respecting man is going to hang around in some limbo like a gelded shadow waiting to see if "she" might deign to show him some attention again. Of what merit is that advice to any man trying to pick himself up and move after being crushed by a relationship breakdown? You are only seeing things from her perspective, and what might empower or be good for "her". Cause it certainly isn't any good for Brian.

Such advice would irk me just as much were you male, btw.

I do, however, have a distinct distaste for the horde of fawning, brown nosing applauders who extol your every utterance simply because you have mammary glands. And I am sure I am not the only one to find it cringeworthy, though I'll be the only one to say it out loud.

most men do it. the control thing i mean. your doing it right now :D and apperently on more then one forum....im doing it by trying to explain it to you, and you will in turn do it in your response. the fact that your arguing with people that are all giving the same advice shows you to be holding your nose slightly higher then mine :) sure your telling him to do the same thing but its based on your reasoning and experiances. your just as limited in offering an opinion as you accuse titty of being, or as i myself am. with the exception that she (titty) is a woman and biologically capable of feeling true empathy. i love how your adivce is aimed at saving face though, not about either of them being happy. great indicator of your personality.
