Do you ever dream about revenge to the person who circumcised you?

I have found old medical records about my circumcision and I found the name of the doctor who did it to me from there. He did it without asking my parents consent btw. I'm often dreaming about making him suffer.

I can't be angry for someone doing what they thought was a good choice at a time I couldn't make it myself. While I disagree with it, nothing I can do can fix it. Oh, wait a minute, I swear I saw a thread about it somewhere...

I've heard it's often just "assumed" a circumcision will be wanted on a newborn boy. It would not surprise me.

Did you read about the case in Germany recently where it was ruled illegal to circumcise boys except in cases of medical necessity? Pretty landmark ruling. I think it only applies in one state at the moment but it's bound to be seen as setting a precedent. Muslim and Jewish groups are up in arms about it, predictably.

I agree with it purely on ethical grounds but it's also nice to see something that brings Muslims and Jews together for a change.

Yea if I were your parents I would have sued if it's without consent! I suspect that eventually even more people (in the USA at least) will be circumcised because health care is now advocating circumcision due to health benefits of it.

What health benefits are these, exactly?

I heard just the opposite, that circumcision rates are declining in the US and that in some areas it's becoming the exception rather than the norm.

Guaranteed 100% protection from the scourge of foreskin cancer, which kills twelfty bazillion men every year! By the same token, I propose eradicating ear cancer by cutting off everyone's ears at birth. Next up: lips, noses, arms, legs, heads...

All depends on what you're used to. If you'd grown up in a society where everyone shaves all their hair off you'd probably think anyone with hair looked weird and gross.

Sometimes in porn where the guy is circumcised, his glans is keratinized to the point of having cracks in it. Just looks awful, god knows how it must feel.

If it was done without consent, then is "wrongful circumcision". You have a claim for damages against this doctor, but depending on the state and the applicable time limits you may be too late to bring suit.
