Lets see a girl could easy get 1 a week with little effort . That would be 300 plus in 6 years, so 16 is looking a bit restrained, tame even. Why don't you go for something wilder ?

It all depends of your wievs and principles in life. For me every girl who had 16 partners in no matter what timespan by default belongs in the slut category. But, that is just me. If it really bothers you, dont be with her no matter what I or anybody else say.

well 16 past lovers means 16 people to perfect her sex on before getting to you. i see experience as a benefit.
I personally have no slightest respect or admiration to men who are promiscuous, and wiev their notion of great self-achivement and universal approval of other men with contempt. I, on the other hand, in my 23 years of life have only been with few girls
sounds like unwarranted resentment. there is nothing wrong with being promiscuous other than affecting the possibility of impacting your sexual health via disease. you live one style, other people live different styles. there is no objective view point to say which is more ideal. both have a set of advantages and disadvantages.
i know many promiscuous men, my little brother being a supreme culprit. he sees it more as a curse than an achievement.
Well, you said it, there is no objective view point. I have my rules, and I don't wish it to encourage them to anyone else for that matter. People are free to choose whatever they want, as they are free to admire or despise someone by that decision.
There is no good or bad answer to this as opinions will vary greatly.
My response would be no it's not bad, who cares, the past is just that "the past". My advice is to never ask questions that you really don't want to know the answer to.
Build on what experience she may have gained with those past experiences and enjoy!
Well, a girl who had even one partner could be more ''experienced'' than some that had 20 for instance, assuming she was in long term relationship and often had sex. This should not be the reason for the lad to decide to be or not be with that girl.
Well, assuming also this is the case, maybe he is just asking a question.

I think 16 is alot. I kind of find it a turn off to think that she so quick to sleep with people. I just think about 16 random guys busting all over her and it makes me queasy.
16 partners over the course of 2190 days is not that much at all. if she were seeing 3/4 in relationships and the other 1/4 were rebounds then that means they could have consistently seeing each other over 6 month time spans.
not everyone will spend 3 or 4 years seeing someone before they decide it isnt right. 12 six month relationships with a few one night stands is hardly slutty.
i want my girlie to be adventurous. i dont feel bothered and encourage her to tell me when other people turn her on and what past experiences she really enjoyed. when you see it from a conservative perspective, it comes off as very selfish. the more you know about someone else, also the more it forces you to either embrace your own sexuality and builds confidence or tyou can immasculated by it. i choose not to let it bother me and use it as a tool to grow from. if a women slept with 300 women before you, and then stayed with you, that means you are better than 300 others.
if i thought about 16 guys" busting all over my girl" i love her enough to say hey i hope that really got her rocks off, because i want every possible situation to make her happy. her sexuality isnt just for your happiness

sex is something to be enjoyed, granted im very liberal, but 16 guys tells me this girl is putting herself out there and enjoying life. not concerning herself with a trivial number, or how people might perceive her. if she had slept with only 2 guys then a) she was in two great long relationships that didnt last, or B) she is too conservative in her own sexuality for my tastes.

That alone is actually a huge deal. Even at 16 chances are very high that she has been with someone who has a std. Go beyond that and its almost a gaurantee. I read a study recently that over 25% of teenagers in america already have a std.
My partner had only been with one man before me. A semi long term relationship although it did not reach a year as he cheated. I guess shes just the type of girl who doesnt want to have sex outside a serious relationship and I respect that. With me she has become the most sexually open experimental girl I have ever met.

I don't think it has anything to do with my happyness. I think just because she is dating arround doesn't mean she has to sleep with everyone she dates. I'm just going by the morals I live by. I don't think it's right to sleep with just anyone I think it makes it that much more important when you wait for someone who deserves all of you and you them. I dont care if I get ridiculed for saying this. I'm not calling her any names I just feel that I dont want to be with someone who sleeps arround before they acutely know the person. To each his own I dont expect people to live by my rules I was just voicing my opinion of the OP.
