Just heard on the radio Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her flat today, she's only 27 but it's not that surprising because of the fucked up life she lead.

Yeah just checked the BBC news channel : she's dead!
I can remember when she first started in music she was an funny outgoing girl. Then every parents worst nightmare happened when she met a heroin addicted guy who he got her on the drugs.
I'm not remotely surprised by the news though.

Sad news when you consider what a natural talent she had for singing and performing....her comeback tour earlier this year came undone as rumors of heavy drinking backstage led to shows being described by local media in Belgrade as "scandal" or " disgusting". Severe criticism for her inept performances led her to retire from show business last month. She was appartently working on an eagerly awaited album for the last few years as a followup to "Back to Black". Now we may never get to see this finished work...Amy was an inspiration to many other singers and musicians who adopted her songs as their own and gave her tunes a unique touch and feel. But as much as she had the knack for putting out good music, many would say that she always that vulnerable emotionally hurt artist whose drink and drug abuse would take her before her time. RIP Amy.

I hate to say it but I'm not the least bit surprised. I was shocked when I first read about it on the web but then I recall all the numerous times she was in the news for less than exemplary behavior. She led a pretty fucked up life.
What saddens me most about something like this is the complete and utter waste of some incredible, genius talent that Ms. Winehouse had. To waste such a natural gift as she did is a colossal tragedy.
I always found it ironic that she sand a song entitled "Rehab"........

If I could choose a way to go I'd rather go off into death on a drug than suffering in pain from some terminal illness.
I would rather die old and old people usually die from an illness. Would you rather die today pain free or in 50 years time from an illness?
It is obvious she died doing something she loved. Please don't bash me. She was too young to die, no doubt. If I had that much talent and fame, I would hopefully live enjoying it. I'd do lots of traveling. See and experience things that only those with a name can do. I would go to a whole lot of spas. Oh yeah, lots of pampering.
