There is lots of talk and claims on the internet about a connection between premature ejaculation and a lack of cardiovascular exercise. Is there any truth to this? One guy specifically noticed that if he wasn't doing cardio he became was a minute man and when he was doing cardio he could go for about 20 minutes. Funny thing is... he tested himself 3 times. he went for a long period of time with cardio and a long period of time without cardio. Yes... he tested himself 3 times!!! I used to to cardio when I lasted longer too.
I go to the gym and lift heavy weights right now but i dont do cardio anymore(havent for a long time now) and during sex I'm a 3-5 minute man right now. I'm tempted to give it a try and experiment. What do you guys think?

This is an interesting one James!

Exercise can boost levels of the neurotransmitter seritonin in the brain which helps us feel calm. I could see this being true if stress or anxiety were indicated.

Yes but I lift heavy weights 3-4 days a week and still have prem ejac! I'm wondering if cardio will be any different.

That's debateable cuz I pretty much already do cardio when I lift heavy weights with litle rest inbetween sets. Weightlifting raises your heart rate

Lifting weights is not cardio. Cardio is running/jogging for at least 30-40mins.

Personally if I can't do my run, I don't work out.

Hey James,

Lifting weights is VERY different to a cardio workout. I run or do a spinning class for around 45 minutes to an hour per day. This certainly helps to make me more relaxed overall. If you want to conbine the two then I would recommend doing a kettlebell class at your local gym.

Hope this helps.

I found what we are looking for guys!!!:

Just 15 minutes of aerobic activity two to three times a week can reduce anxiety significantly, according to a 2005 study in the European Journal of Sports Science. Go at it 3 to 5 days a week and you can cut fatigue by nearly 50 percent. "Cardio elevates serotonin levels in the brain, a key neurotransmitter involved in improving symptoms of depression," says Madhukar Trivedi, M.D., director of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center Mood Disorders Research Program and Clinic.

I suggest we all try cardio, especially high intensity interval training cardio for a while and see if it makes us last longer!!! I cut out cardio out of my routine and that might have been part of the problem! DOESNT ANXIETY AND SERETONIN HAVE A LOT TO DO WITH PREM EJAC?

I found the quote from that guy that has proof:

"As a child, I was overweight. In my teens, I began exercising regularly and when I began having intercourse was able to last a reasonable amount of time (about 10 - 15 min.) After a while, I stopped exercising and gained weight. It got to where I was ejaculating within a minute or two. About three years ago, I started doing a lot of cardio exercise, mostly stairstepper. I lost a good bit of weight and started lasting longer during sex. Then I stopped exercising again. Back to ejaculating within a min. or two. I tend to become very sedentary when I stop exercising. Is there any relation between building cardio stamina and sexual stamina? This is a huge problem."

Hey, I am like 90% sure that it's true about the fact that cardio and premature ejaculation is linked. I'm a uni student so I am quite on and off with my exercises because as soon as I enter exam periods I got no time to do anything. But I know that when I sustain a routine of doing cardio I can feel a huge difference in my mental and physical condition and I feel very good about myself. And in terms of premature ejaculation for me I think this is the thing which makes a big difference. I always have a period where I can last very long and theres another period where I feel like cumming as soon as I go in. But I figured that this is most likely correlated to the period I am exercising and the period I am not. I can't say for SURE because I know there are other factors that affect it such as anxiety and things but anyway doing cardio is beneficial for your health overall so you should do it anyway.
