Now try thinking for a minute. First the Ukes don't have the manpower to beat Russia no matter what weapons they get. Now let's suppose that the Ukes do start kicking Russia ass. Putin is a bit nuts and he will not allow Russia to lose so to save face he fires off a few tactical nukes; bye bye Ukraine. Do you think the US would get into an exchange of nukes with Putin? Is Ukraine worth the end of the world or tens of millions kiiled in a nuclear exchange? Can you tell me how you can prevent Putin from doing that if he felt he was losing? How would anyone stop that?

I get tired of hearing that the Ukes are our allies. The press says this all the time, talking points I guess. But they are not a member of NATO, yet drain our resources for our true alliances, whom, I hope would come to our aid if need be. Kinda doubt it, but that’s another thread. That said, we have made the Ukes a defacto NATO member from the aid we’ve given them To cut that off cold turkey is a shame and speaks volumes to our NATO friends about whether the U.S. can be counted on. None of this would be happening if the Ukes had not given up their nukes in Obama pressed Agreement and then left them out to dry. Shame. Putin wants to fuck with U.S. Bring it!!!

When your side has spitballs and the other side has howitzers you try to not escalate the level to where they use their howitzers. See if they do you lose. The ground war has just about stopped. The lines are drawn and maybe they'll change a few mile here and there over time.

I would bet that Putin would agree to peace provided he keeps the land he took and Ukraine doesn't join NATO. There is no way he's giving any land back. Now Ukraine with the US putting pressure won't do a peace deal without Putin giving all the land back. That will never happen. I would bet Z might accept such a deal to save the rest of his country but we won't let him.
Ukraine blew up another Russian ship today. Putin has yet to respond but when he does lots of Ukrainians will die. If this continues to escalate, if there is no serious peace offer made, before too long Putin will nuke some part of Ukraine and there's not a damn thing we can do about it.
