Have to start running again myself , got lazy about 2yrs back. Don't know how l'd feel about it now but l'll go for a few little ones and maybe get inspired again eh. Old fella up the road must be at least 85 , still runs , take my hat off too him. l don't really like it myself l just love what it does later,

Haaa that's funny , on her part l mean. . Get her sore man that'll shut her up for a wk or two haha.
She usually ends up sore but then again , l always joke that if she can still walk l haven't had enough fun. Mind you l'm a little rough on women, only get a few days out of her haha.
Was thinking about this one though , do you run ? lt doesn't have to be far or fanatical , few k's x 2 or 3 times a wk.
l was feeling the way you describe back in my 40s for awhile there l thought shyt this is weird am l getting old at this age what's going on. Remember chasing my girls up this sand dune , wasn't even that high , l was such a pussy completely ucked by the top.
So l started running , just a few k a few times a wk but man, few mths later we were playing on those same dunes and l was all over them- didn't even realize but then l remembered later gees almost callasped last time l ran around on these things, the difference was incredible.
But there were many huge differences, breathing, energy, 10x fitter, not only but mentally too, you really blow all the crap out of mind and body running,.
Run? LOL. No. Double knee replacement

Speaking of sleep, sleep for me is a very weird thing this last 18mths.
l've always loved the night and a pretty normal sleep was being up until 3-4-5 am, often even until the suns up, grab a few hrs , get up for work. ldk how it works but l always had plenty of energy too- until.
My daughter and gf too saying l should sleep more it's good for you and l thought l probably should too sooo l went into training to start sleeping more. My first deadline was 2am, then 1am , then midnightish, over about 12 mths. First time in decades l was getting 5 -6 -7 sometimes even 8 hrs this last 18mths- never been tireder in my life.
Dk hth that works but l'm always tired now and energy only lasts about 1/2 what it use too.
So l dunno about the sleep thing , no doubt it is very important but now that l do it seems a lot worse.

I would bet that while you were getting little sleep you were drinking lots of coffee and other energy things.

For low impact: How about cycling or swimming- are you able to do this without aggravating the knees? Roller blading may be a good alternative if you know how to skate.

I think I’ll just stick with sex for my aerobic workout. Gets my heart rate up and just a good all around work out if I’m at my best.

Not that silly man.
Never touch energy drinks and the same coffees now as l use to, as l said l've always just loved the night even as a kid. Miss it tbh, especially as l'm more tired getting sleep now anyway it seems. Still have to be careful not to stay up past certain points now more than one or 2 nights in a row or l'll revert back to hardly sleeping.

I'm 66+ and still going strong. Don't Smoke, Drink or Drugs. Hit the gym 3 -4 times a week.
Way Too Hot for outdoor Cardio where we live.

Eat healthy but none of that crazy diet stuff. High Protein Low Carbs. Big on OTC Supplements. Religious use of Creatine!
I'm a BIG fan of Lee Labrada and Paul Sklar Fitness on YouTube.

Looking to get back to Inline Skating. I was an IISA Certified Instructor back in the day!
There's a rink where we live, and they have a Seniors Only session.

Interesting video on the use of Creatine. I subscribe to using 5 Grams of Creatine daily as mentioned in the Video.
