One of the most fascinating men I have ever seen in my life. And, I've seen a few in my lifetime.
The richest man in the World. Now in the process of shaking up the Twitter tree.
I find this guy fascinating, and one to keep an eye on.

Social media is dangerous. Right now it's regulated by those that own it and they decide who to censor or not. Dangerous. Elon is a special guy but I don't think he's the answer. There should be the ability to those who feel they have had their 1st amendment rights violated not only to sue for monetary damages and well as restoration of their accounts but social media platforms should have to make it known what judgements were held against them.

Twitter is a liberal cesspool. Facebook is no better.

They should be forced to either downsize or abide by the first amendment. Once a social media platform has the ability to change
or influence public opinion it needs to have very strict guidelines on what it can and con not censor.

instead of changing existing social platforms that are enjoyed by millions, why not start a new one that caters to the needs and desires of other interests to compete with the existing platforms.

Example: Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk has been locked out of his Twitter account until he deletes a tweet about male-to-female transgender Assistant Secretary of Health and Human Services Rachel Levine.

The Tweet: “Richard Levine spent 54 years of his life as a man,” Kirk tweeted. “He had a wife and a family. He ‘transitioned’ to being a woman in 2011, Joe Biden appointed Levine to be a 4-Star Admiral and now USA Today has named ‘Rachel’ Levine as a ‘Woman of the Year.’ Where are the feminists?”

I've been pretty fascinated by him, as well. Many years ago I had said that I feel like we're living at a time in history that will be taught about for generations. The way Edison, Carnegie, et al, were taught as some of the most important figures in US history. As quirky and controversial as he can be (and these influential folks often are), he's had and continues to have an enormous impact on so many facets of our culture and economy. It's super cool to be able to witness it.

Facebook and Twatter have interfered with elections. The should be broken up, heavily fined and lose thier status as protected platforms

I get e-mail messages to click on Facebook posts; however, I have never posted my own message. Nor have I ever used Twitter.

Oh but it keeps me in touch with family and friends! I remember when we wanted to stay in touch with people we picked up a phone and called them. It was human. You heard their voice; you could tell if they were happy or sad or whatever. Hell you might even drive to their house, see their face and look at pictures. Not anymore and I don't like it.

What I find interesting are those that have come out against Musk and the deal because 'Rich people shouldn't own media platforms". They're all rich. I guess it has to be the right type of rich?

My only comment is what goes up must cum down, unless he grows into something other than electric vehicles. Tesla will not be the dominant EV player 20 years from now. China will. Investors beware.

They don't want free speach. Free speach is dangerous for many, especially politicians and lobbyists
