update: it's been 1 month with hf. last night, I was applying so cream to my penis...I dunno if it's helps but I've been doing it for a week anyways. I very gently massaged the cream on the penis for about 30 seconds to a minute and after I was done, my dick went back to extreme hard fkaccid...like it was on day 1. was pretty shocked that such minor pressure caused the hard flaccid to return full throttle. it just means thst having sex would bring the symptoms on full on...

Well if hard flaccid and the symptoms accosiated with it are mostly from anxiety then popping a xanex or another similar type of thing should help, however for me they dont, and my symptoms can still be present.

I agree. I took ativans during the first week and it did nothing to alleviate symptoms. reducing anxiety actually would decrease pain perception In pplz with chornic pain...but for my hf, didn't do much. it's 100 percent physical - last night I lightly massaged cream on it and it went full throttle hf.

Mikecares. You said earlier youre getting good erections with girls but choosing to abstain.
If you are getting good erections with girl how are you concluding its % 100 physical?
Based on the erections you cant get for yourself and the way you turtle when you think about it or look at it.
Im struggling to see your logic.

Im struggling to see your logic.

I get good erections but the head still does not fill up properly. In the first week, I had super weak erections. Also, my hormones are on fire since I've abstained over the last month so I get mentally aroused very easily. This plays a massive role in erection quality. And my boners do not stay strong when I stand up. Also, I am pre-cumming like crazy (not sure if thats from abstaining or from the injury).

In terms of manually reaching erections, I can't really get them.

Obviously my penis is not 100% defective - it works when I'm very aroused...but its firm in flaccid and when I lay down, it feels like a feather.

And based off of last night, the simple act of gently massaging my penis with cream that led to full blown hard flaccid again tells me its 100% physically influenced. If I were to have sex (much more pressure on the dick), it would get much worse as it has been documented by dozens of other guys. And that makes sense because when you ejaculate, you release noradrenaline which causes the penis to retract even more.

Just because I can get erections doesn't mean its working properly (the erections are much less in frequency btw).

Basically everything you're saying right now, I went through at the beginning of this. I'm only writing this as a advice, and I'm not saying that you're wrong in any way with your perceptions on what is going on. I was on a PX of ativan/xanax for the first four months of this. What those drugs do is aleviate the physical symptoms of anxiety: the acute physical response of fear. Fear is a completely natural response, but if those symptoms persist, then that leads to anxiety. The reason the anxiety persists is because of the mental response to fear, where there actually is no physical danger present. It's a cascade effect, where the physical sense of fears leads to thoughts about not being able to cope (worrying), which leads to an increased physical response. This is a feedback loop. It is possible with practice to manage anxiety, to the point where the physical response does not progress to a mental response.

I think that is quite possible to have anxiety, without the physical fear being overpowering, and leading to acute panic. People in high stress jobs, like some lawyers can have major stress problems, but they aren't "nervous wrecks" most of the time. Just something to think about.

I really hope everyone the best. I'm going to take some time off from here. I think it's good to update on progress. It's always positive hearing about people recovering from this thing. Take care.

This thread is almost 400 pages long and, while there's a ton of valuable data in there, much of it's being ignored. Also, the same types of questions and panicking are cycling through over and over again.

Some of the more recent posts are a good example of why this thread may be closed soon while another, more distilled thread will be taking its place.

in my opinion this forum has a duty to make sense of this and ban the newcomers from posting with skeptical nonsense that is not true.

By that logic my friend you would also be banned, the point is for people to read the thread, ask and answer questions with some decorum, and argue their points the same way.

the reality is there is nothing to argue about. everything about HF is known. no more discussion about what it could or couldnt be is needed. you being a moderator of a forum that gets alot of people in this mess probaly wouldnt see that though.

You saying that the PE Gym is responsible for causing most of these people to have hard flaccid? I call BULLSHIT on that. And, don't accuse our Moderator of being naive.

alot of people get HF from anxiety and stress issues. alot of people get it from coming on websites like the PEgym, so no i dont put it down to the PEgym but it is part of the problem. and over the years the ammount of ridiculous advice and stupid things moderators say to people with HF is laughable. Obitoo was one of the first people to finally figure this thing out almost entirely and he has helped a hell of alot of people get over HF but PEgym bans him because he has no tolerance for the ammount of bullshit and misinformation about HF that is spread around this website. im sure i will be banned shortly but i really dont care lol. this website is a joke.

If you could actually look beyond your nose at this web site and it"s purpose, you would see that it is far from being a joke.
You are stuck in this thread, argumentative as hell and opinionated to your own
views.

People get drawn into what is relevant to them, over time seeing it as the only way.
It's not uncommon.

It's all fine to have your own views/opinions but, if you feel so strongly about this site. Then why don't you close your account, why stay here if you're not going to make a positive contribution to help fellow members to best of your ability?

I 100% agree with you. The moderators here are part of the problem that HF still persists. They don't have any clue themselves what HF is, but won't stop to give wrong advice or defend people who are speculating what HF is. Of course, new people with HF who come here will believe the moderators and go the wrong path.

I don't think that the owner of this board wants all the negativity that this topic brings to the PE community. Even if it means more traffic (and ad revenue) in the short run, it means less traffic in the long run as more and more people are turned off by PE. (I'm not saying PE is the root cause for HF. People who do PE and have a perfectly functioning Pelvic floor won't get HF)

The only way to finally make progress with HF, would be to lock this thread and put Voodoos posts in a separate topic that will be moderated by someone who also has the knowledge and time (Voodoo, Stevie?). There has to be a real no tolerance policy for any misinformation that is being posted here.

Or just redirect all people who have HF to obitoos forum once it is available again. He really did a great job at moderating his board. In the end, he is the one who figured out the root cause and came up with all these ways on how to get rid of HF (Yoga Nidra, TRE, etc).

Let's refrain from saying that someone has discovered the "root cause" and ways to treat it unless its shown that these treatments are effective for 90+% within a few months.
