Who watches anime?

Black Lagoon is a good one, watched a couple episodes.
There were some good anime series on TV when I was 6-8 I forgot all their names, childhood memories. I remember bits of it, one of them had a lot of crows in there, powers and stuff...I was too young to remember, it had a lot to do with crows, and the characters had super powers...Another one was about samurais. Two samurais, one girl. The two samurais disliked each other, but had feelings for the girl, so they both try protect the girl from evils. If any of you know which animes I'm talking about, please share the names.

Anyone who is a fan of Ghost in the Shell,
They released the first episode of 'Ghost in the Shell: Arise' a few weeks ago.
It is a prequel to 'Stand Alone Complex' and worth checking out.

O that's not the one. The one I'm talking about is just a anime film, not a series. And the characters were older and more serious looking than these characters. There wasn't much humour in it either.
The crow one was a series though.

When I think of an older anime with crows and superpowers in it, I think of Witch Hunter Robin. Not sure about the other one though.

Maybe the movie was Blood Reign: Curse of the Yoma? It is a rather old one from 1989.

It's been so long that I can't even compare this to my memory. But from what I see this is probably not the one but the time of its original run date seems very close to when I used to watch that anime...Maybe the information I gave was wrong..

I'm not a brony, but I have a few friends that are. I watched one episode once, because John de Lancie was in it though. That man is a science fiction hero.
And while we are going off the Japanese animation reservation, I have seen a fair bit of Adventure Time.
I also love western animated superhero shows. I know I'm a little old for Young Justice, but I loved it anyway. I grew up with shows like Batman: The Original Series, Spider-man, X-Men, Justice League, Justice League Unlimited, etc..
Gotta love 'em heroes.

I quite enjoy it, I actually sold a MLP t-shirt design to a company, so people are out there wearing something I made.
Most anime is quite awful.
There exists very little that is compelling. From what I've seen, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann and Code Geass are the only two worth fully watching. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood comes in at a close third but requires a thirteen-episode investment before the ball really gets rolling.
Death Note is decent up until episode 28 or so. (You'll know when if you watch it. It involves a helicopter scene.)
Trigun is just meh.
Cowboy Bebop is pretty, but meh.
Bleach is good up until episode 161 or 61--I've forgotten. (Up to when *something* happens with Aizen). After that it's atrocious.
Naruto is good up through the Chuunin exam. Up until that point, it rivaled TTGL and Code Geass. It falls apart afterward.
FLCL is good in a kooky kind of way.
Blood+? Yawn.
Claymore is decent. It's best if you watch this while doing something else.
Darker Than Black is just a smidge less entertaining than Claymore.
DBZ is for children and nostalgia factor.
One Piece isn't worth your time.
D.gray Man will make you want to rip your hair out very, very slowly.
Heroic Age? Ugh.
Air Gear is meh.

Like any other medium. Most television is awful. Most movies are awful. Most books are awful. That is because most entertainment is designed for a niche audience that is large enough for the product to be financially viable, but not enough to be considered widely popular.
If you want to get into anime, you need to look for anime that matches your personal taste. I am guessing shonen are a little too immature for you. Personally, I love a really childish show from time to time, but it isn't for everyone.
They don't make anime like Cowboy Bebop any more...I loved the music too - The Real Folk Blues and Call Me were at the top. I like Yoko Kano a lot in general - don't know if youre familiar, but Ghost in the Shell shows and movies have top-notch music (Rise, Torukia, I can't be cool, Run Rabbit Junk are a few).
I'm sure youve already seen Samurai Champloo - if not check it out, it's made by the same guy who made Cowboy Bebop

Lol yea, we totally share taste in anime.
You are gonna love KoaS!GitS: Arise was pretty funky. Can't wait for the next ep. I wasn't big on 2nd Gig, but S.A.C. season 1 was brilliant. If Arise is anything like that, I'll end up watching it several times.
