I am a newcomer in PE and I am reading carefully everything regarding the beginner's routine.

In my opinion, warm up is a very important aspect: so, I decided to investigate a little more the use of infrared radiation in PE workouts.

I have found interesting materials on the web: the following tense (from the web site of one of the major firm that produces infrared appliances) is crucial for our goals:

"When infrared rays penetrate the skin, they cause a thermal reaction that elevates tissue temperatures. The human body responds to this by dilating all the blood vessels and increasing the flow of blood. The greater flow of blood enables metabolic products and any impurities to be removed rapidly, while the supply of oxygen and nutrients to the area increases. This relieves pain and leaves tissues feeling revitalised."

It seems that infrared are beneficial both for the warm up (i.e. to avoid injury) and for the tissues growing that it is definitely the ultimate purpouse of PE routine.

What are your opinion about this ?

Best regards to everybody (and excuse me for my english).

I've been actually looking into it myself in the last couple of days. I'm gonna buy an IR device regardless, cause I want it for rehabilitating my shoulder, but I'm looking to learn some more on its potential for PE.

thats interesting but source?

There are a lot of web sites "dedicated" to the Infrared therapy. Try this:

Philips Support - HP3641/01

Japenese scientists and doctors have been studying the infrared effect on human body for a long time.

I think that we should avoid to overexpose ourself to IR because it could be dangerous: I use my infrared appliance twice a day for 15 minutes each session.

The first "15 minutes" are during the PE workout (warming up and first stretching exercises) and this usually happens very early in the morning.

I have a second 15 minute session of infrared in the evening (no PE exercise in this case): the pourpose of this "second session" is to:
  • improve blood circulation.
  • Eases joint pain and stiffness.
  • Relaxes muscles and increases flexibility
  • Removes impurities and mineral waste.
I hope this could help.

I'm sorry but i don't understand your question.

Would you be so kind to elaborate it a little more ?

Ok. I don't know if it is allowed by the "forum policy" to nominate specific products or firm.

In any case, this is my view:

1) first of all, it is important to choose infrared devices that are projected and built with the right wavelenght for the body therapy (infrared radiation are commonly divided in tree subcategory: infrared A, B and C.)

2) my personal choice was Philips Infracare 3641. In Italy the cost is 150 euro.

3) This device is usefull not only for PE but also for the wellness of other part of the body (e.g. effective and natural muscle pain relief, stimulates blood circulation and sends oxygen-rich blood to stressed or aching muscles, etc)

Thats really expensive. But I can see how worthwhile it would be.

Warming up with a rice sock or washcloth is the cheap alternative; Infrared is a more expensive alternative, and I agree that if used correctly and safely this may benefit PEers more.

And I strongly agree that the reason that this isn't as highly advocated by remek in his guide, although it is there, is due to newbies tendencies to overdo things. And overexposure is something to really be careful about. I like your set up from what I've heard.

Lemme do some research...

Aha, as I suspected, or read a year ago ;P, there is more information that is important considering IR heat and the penis, not just the body. I also read about this at askmen.com

To summarize, sperm dies at body temperature, so cover your testicles with a sock or something.

A 250 watt bulb should be 2 feet away from you. More matts, more distance. Warming up takes about 5-10 minutes with the heat lamp. Probably because unlike a towel or a rice sock, the heat is consistent.

I think another warm up session may be okay. But not directly after PE. I would follow the same rule for masturbation after PE: 1 hour or more.

So far, I have yet to find a side effect.

Even Wikipedia doesn't mention side effects unless you are doing it for a kind of therapy. Just thought I'd see if the ridiculousness of Wikipedia contacted IR Therapy, yet. haha

I'm going to invest in one of these once I get things settled where I'm at.

Something tells me that I shouldn't trust this stuff on my penis. I don't want to become impotent. I don't think it's a good idea to bombard your penis with infrared rays. Just my opinion.

I second that notion. I feel antsy enough with a rice sock.

i actually have a dr.scholls massager with infared built in to the back of the head, and yes its meant as like a back massager but hey i got it for free. there are three settings... vibrate, infared heat, or vibrate plus infared heat, now i recently started using the infared(no vibration) before pe and after. i havent payed attention for any differences though.
