Hi, new and wondering if it's okay for a chick to snoop around!

Hi!
I'm feeling a bit sheepish as I've already been snooping, but there seem to be some other female types around here, so hopefully I won't make anyone uncomfortable. I'm 30, WA, and am super interested in sex, sexuality, genitals, all the fun stuff I've worked on research projects around women and sex, women and orgasms, etc, and have done various stints of sex/sexual health education with everyone from teenagers to seniors, so I'm pretty un-squeamish. But I am really interested in more male perspectives on these things (I suspect some of my guy friends are getting really sick of me being all "Hey, so how do you feel about your penis?" "What's your favourite thing to do with it when you're alone?" and so on), and a guy friend sent me a link here. Finding some of the threads really interesting, so thank-you, but thought I'd come introduce myself before I started to feel like any more of a creeper... so I guess that's my question: guys, are you okay with a chick poking around in here? (ahaha pun intended - but serious question) Are there any parts of the forum that are supposed to be guys only?

I don't know, guess we'll have to see - he's kind of shy about talking about sex and all things related (which makes us an odd couple, but hey, isn't that the fun of life!).

Tell him he will be welcome here. The internet is a great place for shy people to talk about things they ordinarily wouldn't anywhere else. I hear you about the odd couple thing. My wife and I are pretty odd too but like you said, that is the fun of life. We make it work and it usually works very well!

Yes, I think some contrast is a very good thing in a relationship!

Polar opposites may not be the best thing but some contrast sure is.
How he feels about you here also may depend on how comfortable he is in your relationship and how secure he is in himself. Some guys wouldn't like their ladies talking about sexual related things with other guys but others like myself see that their input is helpful to others here and aren't threatened by the conversations. Hopefully he will at least look around. Do you think he would be interested in PE?

So true! My ex and I were opposites, and it was a total disaster, even though we both tried to make it work.

He definitely has no problem with me talking to other people or guys about sex - couldn't be together otherwise as I do it all the time, for work and out of interest - and he is into PE, that's how I've been exposed to it. He'd be more likely to look than post - he's also just not a big internet user. But we have a pretty high level of comfort, so I bet he'll at least come have a look if I ask him.

Really, I think everyone would be so much healthier if we were more open about sex and our bodies, but I've rarely gotten to be privy to those kinds conversations among guys, so I really appreciate being here.
