For the past year, I have worried almost daily about problems I am having with my penis.

I noticed around October of last year that when I went to urinate while completely flacid, my penis had an EXTREME hourglass look to it... but keep in mind it was EXTREMELY cold... like you know how your scrotum and penis will retract when it is cold? It was like this, but there was a noticeable hourglass shape to it.

I noticed that if I did not masturbate often, the hourglass shape diminished significantly. I was masturbating every day or every other day, and a few hours later when I would go to urinate or something, I would notice that hourglass shape.

I notice there is a hard band inside my penis on the right side... it feels like the width of a string. When I am erect, there is an upwards curve, but it isn't anything "extreme"... but what is alarming to me is that it's kind of a sudden curve... it doesn't gradually curve up, it's kind of straight and this suddenly has this slight upwards curve. There is also a slight indentation on the right side of my penis around where the hard band is.

I noticed that I can only get an erection now from physical contact. I really cannot get an erection from non-physical stimulation.

But here is the thing:

I have bipolar 2 disorder, and SEVERE anxiety. I do not know if the anxiety is causing me to have ED, and is affecting the circulation to my penis, and causing the hourglass shape, or if I have mild peyronie's disease, and that is causing the abnormal shape, and the erectile problems now.

In a serious sexual situation, I can obtain an erection, and there is no pain. However, with masturbation I will lose the erection if I am not constantly stimulating.

Visiting a urologist will be hard because I am only 18 and there are insurance complications.

If I notice that the hourglass shape diminishes if I stop masturbating, and I am able to achieve erections in serious sexual situations with no pain, should I not worry? I feel like with my anxiety disorders, I have been constantly worrying about the appearance of my penis, and as a result have erectile dysfunction.

I am really depressed, upset, worried, and feel horrible. I feel like my penis has shortened by .25 - .5 inches, because I feel like it did not have that sudden mild curve. I definitely feel a small band inside my penis, and I have the hourglass shape while flacid, ALONG with a dark band on the exterior of my penis in the center. Like the skin is dark in a band along the top in the way center.

Any advice please

Just added info:

- Do you think masturbation can cause this hourglass shape when flacid? The only real reason I think I have peyronies is 1.) The thin, hard band I feel on the inside of my penis. and 2.) The hourglass when flacid.

I have noticed that if I stop masturbating so much, that the hourglass stops.

Should I stop masturbating altogether?

And to help you guys understand more of the severe anxiety, here is an example of how it has affected me in the past. When I was in middle school, we were doing a very important test, and they told us we had a 5 minute bathroom break, and the teacher took us down to the bathroom and was like "You need to HURRY!" That pressure on me made me unable to urinate... and after that one single incident, I couldn't urinate at school anymore... and that spread to other places, like when I went to see shows or concerts that were about to start, I couldn't go. The only time I could pee was if I was completely relaxed and went by myself and could go at my own pace. Maybe this will help explain the way the anxiety affects me, so that it's easier to understand my problem.

it is best to see a urologist they specialize in this area it could be you had an injury I do know peyronies where it curves to one side etc can be caused by an injury if so sometimes they prescribe a pill that is usually used for gout to disolve the hardness on the side where it curves. there could be other causes that is best for him to check it out. there is nothing to be embarrassed about because the doctor and his nurces deal in this area daily besides the normal upward curve mine has an slight cure to left but it dont effect sex and no pain I have notice alot of guys have a slight curve in theirs too

Hey mate, I pretty much have the exact same problem. I went to two different regular doctors and they both said I have nothing to worry about and that there is nothing wrong with my penis. I even asked if it would maybe get worse but the last doctor said he believes it will only get better.
