But that is just the ideal. I know one player who gets more ass (and real fine ass) than a toilet seat is about 5'5". Awesome personality, pretty decent looking and a really good guy.

I'm very good looking 5'10(without shoes) 220Pounds (good shape too) having very good skin elasticity helps.
It seems to get me a lot of attention... I've also been asked out many times before too.

I'm 6'3. I find it's always the average height guys with a good personality (funny etc...) and a lot of confidence who manage to pick up the hottest girls. At 5'7 there may be some women taller than you, but most'll be around your height, which is also the case for the guys I'm talking about. You're right when you say that a tall guy may have some sort of advantage over his shorter counterpart, but being tall doesn't satisfy women sexually. And given a choice between confident + good funny personality and height, I'm sure 95% of women would go with the former. Everybody has insecurities, even tall guys. Mine is that although I know from studies that I have a big dick, because I'm so large, it doesn't look that huge compared with my body, and it certainly doesn't feel monstrous in my hands (which also happen to be very large). Nobodies ever going to be 100% satisfied with themselves, just make the best of what you have, work on increasing your attractiveness (good smelling, well-dressed, fit and toned which are all things you can control), have a positive outlook on life and believe in yourself which will naturally make you more confident. That's all you need to be a chick magnet.

Here are some ways for shorter guys to optimize their appearance. I think I got most or all of them from a blog called Art of Manliness:

Wear shirts with vertical stripes, especially thin pinstripes. Likewise, avoid horizontal lines, because they give the illusion of extra width.

Try to be somewhat monochromatic. So wear dark shirts with dark pants, and light with light. Any stark contrasts at the waist will sort of cut you in half, whereas you want a nice smooth flow from head to toe. This doesn't mean you have to wear blue shirts every time you wear jeans - just keep the colors close.

Any accessories or add-ons should be located higher, rather than lower, to draw attention upwards.

Go for straight or slimmer fitting jeans, as opposed to baggy low-cut ones. Again, you want to streamline your appearance.

Choose a shoe with a reasonable heel, but not an excessive one.

I do a lot of these naturally, the only problem is I'm a bigger guy, so width is already noticeable no matter the lines of my shirt lol - but vertical sure doesn't help.

Also, I've always had really big legs, really muscular - add in the bigger and slim cut pants become a problem. If I can find low rise jeans that fit my waist, they almost always don't fit my thighs or my calves.

I'm currently working on the weight loss, down about 50 pounds with another 65 to go and when I get there hopefully I can apply some of these strategies with my wardrobe.

Have you considered a tailor? They really aren't that expensive and the clothes last for a long time so should be seen as an investment

If you can find a quality, affordable tailor your wardrobe issues will be a thing of the past

I get my shirts, trousers and suits tailor made and the difference in quality is incredible and everything fits perfectly

Alternatively, you could try to alter the clothes that you currently own, that is much cheaper

I second Padawan's advice. Getting jeans tailored is cheaper than buying new jeans. Find what fits your legs, and they can probably improve the waistline. Just expect the pockets to sit a little bit differently than before - moreso depending on the severity of the changes made to the pants.

If you're really dedicated to losing weight, just have one or two jeans done for right now, knowing that in the future, you're body type will have changed.

Remember, you want to create continuity in your appearance, so keep it smooth and avoid major color or style transitions.

I would love to have tailored clothes. And, I do see it as an investment. Currently, I'm losing weight - a lot of weight, so I think it would be impracticable to spend money on something I'll have to rebuy in 6 months. But, when I do reach my weight loss goals I fully plan on doing exactly that.

Well, one of my best friends in high school was about 5'2". I'm 6'5". He was a cocky little prick to girls, I was the nice guy to girls. He got laid more than anyone else I knew. I'm still Jelous haha! So although Height could give you an initial advantage, it definitely doesn't guarantee any results.

Now I have been married 10 years, and he is (on the infrequent times I see him) still running around with these hot young things (23'ish), and getting laid as much as he always has....

I love my Wife like crazy, and don't intend on chasing women on the side, and don't want to. He is perfectly happy (at least for now) having some young girl who might or might not know any better hanging on him.

I guess it all comes down to your definition of Success in relationships....

So, I've been looking over a lot of want ads - women for men, and perusing over dating site profiles.

If you are 5'10 or over you have a significant advantage on us shorter guys. Dick size might not matter to most women, but height sure as sh*t does. Holy hell if almost every single "What do you look for in a man" response doesn't mention height.

Being 5'7" I find this a little off putting but it makes sense. I don't think I could date a woman who was taller than me. I suppose women don't want someone who is close to their height.

It's the only physical thing I can't change. Oh well, guess I'll just have to settle for getting a huge wang.

I did an experiment in online dating. I made one profile saying that I was 6 3, 190 lbs, dark hair, blue green eyes, and another where I was my real height(5 10). The "personality" section of my profiles were the same and both had no pic. I had overwhelming response to the taller one. I didn't even have make the first move.

I've known guys like that too. I agree it's not about how you look but how you act in a lot of ways. And, you are absolutely right - success is determined by the individual.

I guess I'm a little pissed cause everyone in my family is tall except my brother and I - and even he isn't short (5'10") and as a kid I was really big so everyone thought I was going to be super tall and that's what I expected too. So when that sh*t didn't happen I was like "What the hell man!" lol.

Guess you just gotta work with what you got.

OKcupid did a study publication that showed most men lie about their height by 2 inches on online dating sites. I've always been honest, I'll put 5'8" cause that's how tall I am in shoes. But I've never gone over that.

Didn't read the entire thread, but wanted to post something.

So, in my "Progress" thread, I mentioned a woman nicknamed "Seattle." She is taller than me. I'm 5' 7", she is about 5' 10". She was the one that came after me.

Booyah!

My little brother is 5'7"... So I got the Height on him.... But you know those Donkey Shows down in Mexico we always hear about? He walked into one, and dropped his Pants... The Donkey ran out crying, and the Manager of the place asked him if he wanted a Job! ;)

So I am QUITE envious of people in my family too.

Haha, I know a girl like this too! She likes to say, "It's nice to know a guy shorter than you is always staring at your breasts when you're out in your heels together."

Height may play a role in preference according to appearance but not in long run where personality, morals and compatibility is concerned.

I'm thinking of starting an "HE" site and forum, increasing height based on PE techniques, but be warned: 'full body helicopter shakes" may cause some dizziness and nausea, and we haven't quite worked out all the bugs in 'hanging.'

I think the best thing we can do is to accept what we have and be happy with it, as long as it is not a risk to our health. Nothing wrong with wanting to look good hot, though;)

I don't think a guy's heighth is all that to a woman. This last time I spent on match.com, I HARDLY got any hits or much less dates. Very discouraging and off putting. I'm 6'2'' also, workout and am pretty buff so I don't know. There's no rhyme or reason for any of it.......I've always been told that women prefer tall men yet I've always had sh*t luck with women so I don't know...........

I've gotta change that.........
