I would love some advice about which method of warming up i should use before I start a PE routine again after failing so miserably the first time in trying. Warming up wrong was definitely one of the mistakes i made before so I want to get every aspect of my routine down perfect this time before i try any PE again, starting with the warm-up.

Ive tryed the hot water and washcloth tecnique and I must be doing it wrong or something because i can not see how you can transfer any significant amount of heat with it. It only stays hot for a few seconds and i dont think it can realistically work even though it is by far the most convienient method i know of. If anyone can tell me if theyv had better luck with this please tell me how.

I am pretty sure that a rice sock gives off enough heat to your unit for a long enough time but I can pretty much rule this idea out. Since i am going to be going back to college soon and wont have private access to a microwave I dont think Iv the persuasion skills to come up with an acceptable explanation for heating up a sockfull of rice in a microwave again after disappearing into my room for half an hour or so every second day so i dont think this will work for me :/

Ive heard of people using infared lamps to warm up before doing PE and even while doing the exercises and this sounds like the best possible option to me, but I dont know where to start looking for one on the internet or in stores or if its totally safe ( i.e doesnt lead to cancer or danger of burns or watever ) so if anyone has used these before I would love some more infomation.

I used to use a rice sock but now I use a electric heating pad that I keep in my room, works fine. It's just as good as the rice sock and I'm sure costs a lot less than a infared lamp.

I'd say takes about 1 minute or so to reach the max heat.(the heat that I use)
