I warm up for 10-45minutes with an electric heating pad, medium heat. Its so nice to chill at watch some tv or check my emails etc, if I have the time I will do stretches after 10 minutes alternating with more time with the heating pad.
15 minutes or more with a flaxseed rice sock and a wheat bag. Not too hot though. Gettng the heat right can be a bit tricky, I've got some sensitive spots around the turkey neck area. Haha. It's true though
