Hey

I am very worried that since its already been 18 days, I will not recover 100% and will be left the way I am. I can not imagine going for the rest of my life without getting full erections and with nerve damage. I dont know if I would be able to go on.

Well the worst case scenario is that you stay the way you are (very unlikely) and you will have to use viagra/cialis/pump to get erect.
You will still be able to perform sex just like before, so it's not the end of the world.
If you can get any kind of erection, and feel any kind of pleasure during sex, it's not the end of the world.

You will get the sensation back, pal. You have to believe me. It took me several weeks--three to four, as I recall. I did not touch my pecker during that time. I hope you are doing the same.

Hey everyone

Thanks for the positive thoughts and reassurrance. And to jackxxx, sorry if im coming off dramatic but its a very scary feeling to be going through, so forgive me. I am following the advice here, and have been leaving my thing alone.

Going411x7

Thanks buddy for the reassurance. It has already been about 3 weeks, and no real changes. I do have a good amount of sensation when I rub the glans and I feel a great deal of sensation when I rub it with lube, but my issue is getting strong erections and maintaining them. I cant get spontanous erections and all of my erections are at about 60%. And sometimes I ejaculate without even getting an erection which is the scariest part.

Once again thanks for the support. I will continue to post here in case anyone else ever goes through what I'm going through and needs similar advice to what I have been lucky enough to get from other thoughtful members here.

Hey everyone:

So since three days ago, when i did multiple lazy ass stretches, i have lost ALOT of sensation in my dick. Especially flaccid. Based on what i have read i think i might have completely damaged my dorsal nerve. Let me tell you my sypmtoms.

1. flaccid doesnt turtle as it usually did
2. Flaccid glans feels very insensitive, nonresponsive
3. I can not get erections without stimulation now, NO morning wood, nothing. Even when im making out or rubbing on my girl it wont happen unless its directly on my penis
4. when i am erect at best its 70 or 80%.

PLEASe guys im freaking out, i think i might have completely, even permanantly damaged my dorsal nerve. I just can not get hard by itself anymore. Do my symptoms seem to suggest that? I dont have pain or anything. Please any help or advice wouuld be great.

Your grip was likely to tight, you over did,did not warm up long enough. Ypu wore out your dick. so give it a rest for a few weeks.

Hey blacknova

Thanks for asking about my situation. I dont think its improved I just think that some things that were mental blocks, I've put away. Like now if im messing around with my girl, I can get a hardon, but a weak one. But nothing major. No erections from visual stimulus. No 80 or 90 % erections. Do you think nerves will heal? Will my situation get back and recover 100%?

I guess Im wondering because if it is a nerve issue and I've damaged a nerve, will I recover 100% and fully? I've heard people say nerves don't heal and yet I've heard doctors and others say nerves will heal over months. It's already been 18 days now and I haven't fully recovered, my spirits are very low and I'm getting very depressed.

Thanks to everyone here who have become like friends and family to me.

Nerves heal slower than other body parts. You can speed nerve healing up with ginkgo biloba from what iv'e read.

If a injury of this type had happen to you, how would you feel, how fast would it take you to man up??

Hey Kingpole

Thank you very much for your support and advice. I have actually read your threads and have for that very reason been taking gingko biloba along with ginseng. I have learned that nerves do take much longer to heal and as long as they DO heal I will gladly put up with the wait. Its just the thought that it might not and I might not get my rock hard erections anymore that make me feel so desperate. But again thanks to you and others here I am hopeful that a full recovery might be possible. With regards to jackxxx, it is precisely the "lack" of comments like his that initially drew me to this website. The fact that everyone is so caring and respectful. But even his comment i will gladly receive as advice. Kingpole do you think it might take another full month or so for me to feel some noticeable improvements? or should I now consult another doctor at this point?

Hey guys

One more thing. The one time I used viagra and got a semi-erection, Even the second time around with my girl, I lasted about a minute. And there was no way of lasting longer. I have since then read that nerve damage causes premature ejaculation. I would have thought it would be the other way around. Do you think this issue would be solved in time as well? When and IF my nerves heal would this premature ejaculation issue be gone as well? anyone have any knowledge on this subject?

Hey guys

One last thing. Ive been reading many of these kinds of posts about people going through some injury and what not. In alot of the cases, I would say the majority of them, you never see the original poster come back at the end, and offer a happy ending. Like "hey everyone, I have fully healed, after not being able to get hard for a month". Its almost either the poster dissappearing or a constant lack of improvment. Has anyone with my problem, (potential nerve damage, inability to get hard for about a month) fully recovered?

All the stories with the happy endings are those who seem to have injured themselves and healed within a week or 10 days. I have gone about 3 weeks already? Anyone go that long and then fully recover?

Just an update in my injury case

During masturbation yesterday for the first time in a long time my erection seemed a bit harder, and stood pretty much up. The bottom of the shaft seems to be the weakest, but when I kegel it fills up pretty quickly and becomes hard as well. I was able to edge for the first time also. Still no spontaneous erections or erections from visual stimulus or strong erections from physical contact elsewhere on body. Another thing is that glans doesnt fill up as much. That is what i noticed. The glans stays pretty soft. I wonder why that is.

I know i cant even follow my own advice but giving it time and leaving it alone is the best bet for now.

If you feel you have nerve damage why are you masturbating? Nerves are very tricky things and rest and time seem to be the only way to heal them. I have known people that have had nerve damage and it takes months or sometimes longer to heal with complete rest. If you really feel you have nerve damage I think you're just hurting yourself more.

Will it be corrected in time?
Did you ever think you yourself are compounding the problem because of what you are doing, instead of just leaving it alone and letting it heal!

Well the problem is I have a very high sex drive by itself so leaving it alone for more than a few days is extremely difficult. But even then I left alone for 10 whole days right at the beginning. Then again I have a new girlfriend and I can not tell her about the problem I have. And not having sex with this girl and trying to leave my thing alone for a period of weeks is very difficult when you have a girlfriend that you cant tell the issue to. So leaving it completely alone for a few weeks is very very difficult. I really like this girl and I do not want to jeopardize what I have with her either.

Sometimes healing is difficult. I do know somethings about nerves and the more they are allowed to rest the better chance they have to recover. I am not saying by doing what you're doing will prevent the nerve from healing; it may just take more time. And nerves take a long time to recover even in optimal conditions.

Thank you very much Cusp for your response. It means alot from such an experienced member as yourself. I am very aware that rest can never be a bad thing and I have tried to but like I said the girlfriend makes it very difficult to achieve a full two week rest period. However I am a bit confused since the urologist told me to take the viagra and encourage bloodflow into the area, as he said to "wake it". But I prefer to follow the advice here and try to rest it.

Cusp, I have a question also. I have read that nerve damage can lead to premature ejaculation. Do you know why that is? and if once nerves heal, that will go away also and i will get that back?

Thanks.

One more Update

I know I was not supposed to have sex as other members advised, but there was no getting around it on my girlfriends birthday. So i popped a viagra, 25 mg. I had done that before but still ended up with a bit of a weak erection. This time around my erection was much stronger and lasted after i Came the first time. And was even extremely hard after that. However my penis was very numb on the second go, and the first go lasted only about 1 minute, as ive mentioned.

Do you think this is signs of improvement, with the harder erection on viagra?
